They try to sell items for ABOVE market value. When I showed them the same item online brand new at Canadian Tire, the manager didn't budge on the price whatsoever while making us wait 20 minutes for an answer. The item was a pool filter which was not inspected since they couldn't test it, so if it doesn't work, too bad. Don't bother wasting your time here

This is not the restore of yesteryear. I found a set of outdoor lights, not even solar, that were actually more expensive at the restore and they were online. $65 for a 48 ft set w 24 lights and some bulbs were missing

Flower pots were also more expensive than they are in the store right now. Light fixtures were reasonable. And, yes, that used wall unit for $1,500 was outrageous.
It's really hit and miss.
I did find a medicine cabinet that was a fabulous deal at $20 and some bathroom accessories that were reasonable.
Selection is very limited and prices are generally High. Even the fireplaces as you come in the door, you can buy now in stores for the same price with warranty. I guess. As the person who does the pricing, if you are unfamiliar with the items, you may be prone to find the highest price online and then work backwards from that. But most Shoppers these days are really watching their pennies and look for sales so the people who are really in need are not experiencing the benefit like they used to.
I have donated truck loads in the past and send people there all the time.

Confusing reviews, first and 2nd comments are completely opposite.
We got awesome slat blinds for 2 large main windows and a long window, wood not aluminum for $5.00 each..yup $5 that's 5 bucks instead of the $350 those would have been just for the 2 big windows at home depot on sale that weekend.

Prices are too high... These items are donated and other than not charging tax the savings are not that great

Great place, and fair prices with no tax. One mans junk is another mans treasure. Some contractor stuff in small amounts like tiles and flooring if you need a limited amount. Used vanities, doors, and stuff like that. Nice place to browse around see if theres anything of interest, and contribute to a good cause!

The theory of this store is great. But they forget that they are selling items they were given for free and seem to have raised their prices over the last few years since the new management took over. I used to shop here first when I needed building or home items. Now I just go to Rona or Lowe's. Their prices are sometimes cheaper at retail stores and you get a warranty, restores are being driven into the ground unfortunately by greedy managers jacking the prices on their damaged and out dated inventory. (For the most part)
