The people who come to pick up items for Habitat for Humanity have bad attitude. S they don't want to do anything. They expect stuff to be moved for them. You know, their job is to move things. I just experienced the worst time with them. Picking up items from a house that I am working on. They damaged the doorframe and the staircase.
And the one black eye with them is doing nothing but swearing and cursing the whole time because he had to actually work.

I love this store and have made many purchases here and other stores. Regarding this location, they have some pretty nice modern stuff. Martin and the whole staff here are very helpful and excellent, friendly customer service. I read some negative reviews and it baffles me. This is for a good cause. Pricing can occasionally be hit and miss in terms of deals. That's because they priced it based on the donor. If it's an expensive designer stool, then the price will seem ridiculous to YOU. To each his own. But I've gotten amazing great deals for my real estate clients and tenants.

Do not donate to Habitat for Humanity and expect them to honour their agreement to provide a tax receipt for your donations.
Last January, I made several trips to donate over a thousand dollars of quality furniture and home furnishings to the store at 155 Bermondsey Rd, North York, ON M4A 1X9 (as we were moving from Toronto and wanted to see the furnishings go to good use).
The store staff were friendly and promised to provide a tax receipt for our donation.
Over a month passed with no contact from the store (contact details were provided in store along with the list of items donated). I then followed up with the store and was promised the tax receipt would be sent by email. I provided my contact information again in order to have the receipt emailed. Still no action.
This is a really disappointing outcome from a location representing a well known brand.
I recommend donating your items to a non-profit in need instead.

Bought a table I needed for my cabin. It was perfect for my needs. The staff was friendly and was able to negotiate a lower than labeled price. Good for everyone.

Unfortunately my experience with Habitat restore delivery team was pretty poor. Parts of my order were lost and the delivery team was not very helpful in finding a good solution for me. It was stressful, and I would not order delivery again. In-store teams are great though!

I didn’t buy anything this visit, but they do have a pretty good selection and prices are great. Staff is friendly too. In the past I’ve bought a couple of full kitchens from them. Tomorrow I’m heading in there for some light fixtures. They even have furniture and a small selection of used tools. I do wish they’d put a sign on their door advertising their business hours though.

I'm so disappointed in this store. On the habitat website it states : "ReStores accept donations and sell a constantly changing inventory of diverse, high-quality merchandise to the public at a fraction of the retail price, while diverting reusable household items and building materials from area landfills"
My take away from that is FRACTION OF THE PRICE. At this store I couldn't afford a couch. $3000 for a used couch... its ridiculous. Dinner tables are insane prices. Everything was marked up. When I ask why the table was so expensive I was told "it's vintage and would be resold for more, but we can give you a deal if you need it"
Not everyone is trying to resale things. Some of us just need furniture to rest on after a long day. Or a table to eat at with our family's. I'm so disappointed in this location. I recommend driving to a different location as they have fair prices and don't judge if you "need a deal".
