Habitat for Humanity Abbotsford ReStore – A Fun Treasure Hunt, But Pricey
The Abbotsford ReStore is always an interesting place to browse, especially if you enjoy hunting for unique finds. It’s fun to walk through with the family, never knowing what you might come across. That said, while the selection is unpredictable, the prices can sometimes be shockingly high for donated items.

Pros:
✔ Fun to Browse: You never know what you’ll find, making it a great place for a casual stroll.
✔ Supports a Good Cause: Purchases help fund Habitat for Humanity, which is a plus.
✔ Family-Friendly Outing: It’s an enjoyable place to check out with the family.

Cons:
✖ Inconsistent Pricing: Some items are reasonably priced, while others feel wildly overpriced.
✖ Hit or Miss Finds: While the occasional gem pops up, it’s rare to find something truly worth it.
✖ Parking Can Be a Challenge: Finding a spot isn’t always easy, especially when it's busy.

Overall Rating: 3/5 ⭐
The Abbotsford ReStore is a fun place to snoop around, but it’s more about the experience than the deals. Prices can be all over the place, and finding something worthwhile takes luck. Worth a visit if you enjoy thrifting, but don’t go in expecting bargains every time.

Quick shoutout to Habitat for Humanity in Abbotsford from a trades guy in the middle of a full-blown basement reno. Let me tell you, finding quality lighting that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg is like striking gold in my line of work.

During my recent visit for a basement suite project, I was on the lookout for lighting that wouldn't just fit the bill but also add that 'wow' factor. Habitat delivered big time. They’ve got a selection that hits all the right notes – modern, vintage, you name it. And the prices? Unbeatable. It’s rare to find deals like these in the lighting game where costs can skyrocket before you know it.

What really sets this place apart, though, is how they handle discounts. I landed a sweet deal on some light fixtures that would usually cost double elsewhere. It’s not just about getting a bargain; it’s about quality at a price that makes sense for guys like me working on tight budgets.

Props to Nadia and the team for their top-tier service. They understand the trade needs, offer great advice, and genuinely care about helping you find the right fit for your project.

For my fellow tradespeople or anyone revamping their space – make a stop at Habitat for Humanity in Abbotsford. You’re not just walking out with great lighting; you’re supporting a great cause too. Attached is a snap of the fixture selection, the quality speaks for itself.

Chaotic and overstocked store, resulting from over pricing. While ì wish to support the charity, it should not cost me more than Home Depot and Canadian tire

Unimaginative pricing and poor organization of items.

Please focus on quality service rather.
Not to forget that donations are made based on the trust being reposed on Habitat for Humanity.

This store needs good leadership and management to get out of this rut.

Extremely unpleasant experience.

Ok, I just have to share my amazing experience at Habitat for Humanity in Abbotsford. If you're sprucing up your space on a budget, this place is my absolute go-to!

I've seen the other reviews mentioning higher pricing, but my experience was nothing but positive with prices that were easy on my wallet and let’s not forget GREAT FOR OUR COMMUNITY. Today, as a delightful surprise, I received a random 40% off discount due to the “snow day” which pretty much sums up their customer-first approach and willingness to go above and beyond. I'm in the midst of decorating a basement suite and was on the hunt for some unique pieces. I hit the jackpot with these chic real leather barstools for just $175, way less than their $550 retail value and with 40% off we’re talking $105/each which is legit a fraction of the retail price.

And shout out to Nadia, this woman is an absolute star. She’s always super helpful, know’s her stuff, and has the kind of vibe that just always makes my day. She literally gets just as excited as I do when I find a real gem.

For anyone jazzing up their home, check out Habitat for Humanity in Abbotsford. You'll find some incredible deals and support a great cause. Oh, and check out the photo of my barstools - they're a perfect example of the type of stuff you can find here.

My mom had purchased a couch from HFH. She was informed it was brand new, so for $900 it was quite a deal. After picking it up, a chip on one of the legs was noticed and lots of black smears along the bottom, sides and back of the couch. You can imagine the disappointment she felt when she saw these blemishes and damage. Her disappointment was extended after asking me to lodge a complaint on her behalf to see if they'd compensate her for the damages and all I got back were crickets. Shameful, absolutely shameful.

It is with a heavy heart and a profound sense of disappointment that I write to you today. As a long-time admirer and supporter of Habitat for Humanity's noble mission, I recently visited the Abbotsford ReStore with the expectation of finding a beacon of hope and compassion, a place where the less fortunate could access affordable resources and build a better future. Instead, I encountered a scene that can only be described as a disheartening betrayal of everything Habitat for Humanity stands for.

Upon entering the store, I was immediately struck by an overwhelming sense of chaos and neglect. Items were strewn about haphazardly, creating a treacherous obstacle course for customers navigating the narrow aisles. Dust and grime coated surfaces, and a palpable air of disarray hung heavy in the atmosphere. This blatant disregard for safety and order is not only an insult to the dignity of those who rely on the store's services, but it also poses a significant liability risk for your organization.

However, the physical disarray of the store pales in comparison to the moral decay I witnessed. The prices attached to the donated goods were nothing short of extortionate, a cruel mockery of the very concept of affordability. It seems that the Abbotsford ReStore has abandoned its charitable purpose, choosing instead to prey on the vulnerable and exploit their desperation for personal gain. This profiteering at the expense of those in need is a stain on the reputation of Habitat for Humanity and a gross violation of the trust placed in your organization.

To compound this travesty, the store manager's conduct was reprehensible. Her demeanor was one of disdain and indifference, her interactions with customers laced with rudeness and contempt. It was as if she viewed those who dared to seek assistance as an inconvenience, a burden to be endured rather than individuals deserving of respect and compassion. This callous attitude is anathema to the spirit of Habitat for Humanity, an organization built on the foundations of empathy and human kindness.

I implore you to take immediate and decisive action to rectify this appalling situation. The Abbotsford ReStore is in dire need of a complete overhaul, a cleansing of both its physical and moral corruption. This requires:

A comprehensive review and adjustment of pricing strategies to ensure that goods are truly affordable and accessible to those who need them most.
The removal of the current manager and her replacement with an individual who embodies the values of Habitat for Humanity, someone who possesses both the competence and compassion to lead with integrity.
The implementation of rigorous safety and organization protocols to create a welcoming and secure environment for all who enter the store.
The Abbotsford ReStore has the potential to be a powerful force for good in the community, a testament to the transformative power of human compassion. However, in its current state, it is a blight on the landscape, a source of shame rather than pride. I urge you to act swiftly and decisively to restore the integrity of this vital resource and ensure that it fulfills its intended purpose: to uplift and empower those who struggle, to provide them with the tools and opportunities they need to ui ki

Nice store and large selection of things to buy. From tiles furniture and a massive selection of lighting. They just about have everything you need to do reno for your house. Some of the prices are a little more pricer or than other restores for stuff like furniture. You would do better like at a langly store for used furniture. I think most of the furniture in this store is display models from a store hence higher prices. I did notice promos usually happen last week of the month so if you are looking for a better deal try going then. Id assume it be similar promos with holidays. Also people comparing prices to Langley stores is a little crazy cause they are a third of the size of the abbotsford store and they have to cycle through stuff faster. Nice store overall.
