Roughly 8yrs ago i left TD bank due to poor service, i brought all my finances, mortgage and so on to ACU, it was a breathe of fresh air, they were amazing to deal with. Then G&F took over and that all changed, it is no longer an enjoyable banking experience with familiar faces, the online banking has issues on a regular basis, unable to process payments or just simply does not work caps on daily atm withdrawls which they refuse to change. However the issue that has really pushed me to write this review is their inability to perform a money transfer something that used to take a reasonable 1-2 business days. Last go around took 5, and after several calls was told the manager had to sign off on transfers, very quickly after that call i had the money in my account. Here we are again, going on 5 days waiting for my transfer to clear, i know my financial advisor put the transfer through and even did so again today along with requesting it a third time in branch yet my transfer still has not gone through. My financial advisor is great, i have dealt with her for years and she is honestly the only thing i still find good about G&F. My mortgage is up in a year and a half and if things do not change drastically i will be taking my business somewhere else.

G&F took ACU and turned it into another lousy bank.

Horrible customer service. Been with them for 10+ years and bank has gone seriously down hill. Get charged random fees with no notice and will not remove them. They also have horrible mortgage policies. Worst credit union in BC. Save your time and go elsewhere.

Since they've merged we've had nothing but problems trying to log in to check our account. The new location in Aldergrove is pathetic. Not enough convenient parking. Don't know who designed the interior but you can't hear anything. So noisy with the traffic and sound bouncing of all the walls and glass. The people are nice but the atmosphere is terrible. Gone from a nice welcoming atmosphere to a modern sterile feel. So disappointing at the loss of our wonderful homey Credit Union. Congratulations G and F, if you wanted to be like the big banks, you've accomplished it!

Since this bank has switched from Aldergrove CU, to G&F and now Beem..? It’s been extremely difficult to bank here. I don’t understand why they moved this location from a standalone building to a strip mall where there is never any parking and they don’t have a drive thru ATM. When I asked I was told I could drive to Mt.Lehman to use a drive thru ATM which never is working anyways. It’s disappointing, I used to not mind going to the bank and now I hate whenever I need to go.

I voted against this merger. It’s unfortunate more of us didn’t. The small town feel and the exceptional customer service has been replaced with a clunky system, absolutely no recognizable staff, poor customer service and an overall at location banking experience that lacks any professional and secure feel. Staff moving from open tables with laptops and into glass offices. Had an appointment recently that was completely unhelpful and lacked any feel that I would be given helpful knowledgeable and real options with my financial situation. Was told I would be contacted the following week…. Was never followed up with. Terrible bank, as soon as its most convenient for me, I will be moving my business elsewhere.

Horrible experience lately with this branch always giving me a reason they can't cash my pay cheque's always calling my employer and accused me of my pay cheque not beening real, they told me I had to be come a member to cash my pay cheque that's going to be a hard no.. I will be going to money tree from now on to cash my pay cheque.. totally rude and not helpful took me almost a hour to get my money this branch is totally laughable nli wouldn't be doing anymore banking there. Totally garbage branch

Yesterday i went to the aldergrove branch at 3pm yesterday.
I noticed there was only 1 bank teller working at her desk. The other bank tellers appeared to be in meetings.
The elderly female who was in front of me mentioned she was waiting for 10 minutes before somebody was able to assist her. I had to wait about the same amount of time.

I understand there is a shortage of workers. Are we able to have more bank tellers that are regular employees and not employees that bounce from branch to branch?
This will allow us to bulid a relationship with them and with the community

Go up
