I want to know how it is possible that a food bank can give away items that are outdated? Yesterday this is what was picked up at the food bank here in Athabasca. Every item in this box except for 5 items is past its best before date; by months and even years! There is no bread products, no hygiene products, no water, no meat products. And yet I have talked to some people who receive phone calls from the food bank when the trucks come in. They receive meats, breads, crackers, cereals; none outdated. How is this possible? Only people who this family running the food bank like get food that is edible I am contacting whomever in government regulates places like this to put in a formal complaint and have this family investigated. Another thing; this food bank is now closed for the summer? What poor people don't need to eat during summer months?
