The volunteers are very friendly, the wait is not too long to get in. I'm very appreciative of any help I get but I do want to comment that I'm getting quite a bit of quite expired or past due food. I understand that's the nature of food banks but you shouldn't be giving out lunch meats 4 days past expiration. I've gotten moldy produce as well. Otherwise those concerns, lovely staff and I'm grateful for any help I can get.

I’m very grateful for the Friends in need food bank in Maple Ridge. The staff and volunteers are fantastic people. The wait time in line is about ten minutes tops. Food is fresh and plentiful. You need to register first but everything is quite a seamless process. 😊

Thank you for every little grape and apple. Coming to a food bank for the first time. I greatly appreciate it absolutely every piece of food I got. I never thought some pickles that I can of kidney beans would make me so happy 🥰 thanks to all the volunteers 🙏 The manager is a big bully. The manager also is a greasy little weasel.Typically if you missed the previous week and you come early and your 8th and line and there is a 4 l jug of milk on the table up for grabs, usually it's a given that I'm allowed to take it if I need it. I go through a lot of milk so it's a treat when I do get a 4 l jug of milk given I saw a 4 l jug of milk on the table and I asked the manager if I can take it he handed me a piece of paper and says that I have to re-register before coming back next week.... and when I asked if I could have the milkm...he just instantly cut me off and said NO...,😳 in a really condescending and demeaning manner. I've had other complaints that I don't like to mention because I really don't like to complain about food banks but the manager is a greasy little weasel. Whenever I bring an issue to the manager he does absolutely nothing about it. I can't possibly give a bad review because I have to show that I'm extremely grateful for every tiny little speck of rice that I get from the food bank..

I have lived in 4 different province's in the duration of my life and have from time to time nodded help in each one of them. Now I have noticed that no matter where I am people I can't say all are quick to judge some of the volunteers because they are there forced by a judge to so community service, well I want to say these guys and girls that have to do their hour's of time are honestly some of the kindest and funniest people I have met so thank you to all you nice people for doing your time there. Also the food bank it self always do their best to make sure they don't give you rotten food and are always doing their best to make you feel welcome so thank all of you for being there for me and my 👪

These people sift through all the most sought after stuff ,and give it to themselves .I was given veggetable sausage as meat .They held back my milk as per my doctors permission .If you complain they will target you and bad mouth behind your back .

This is the best food bank set up I’ve ever seen. Food in set out, grocery-store style, and people can choose what they like. Volunteers are friendly and organized and the hours are very convenient. Maple Ridge has figured out how to share food with people in need in a respectful and dignified way. Bravo!

The women who work behind the front desks are horrid, the guy who runs the place is a nice, caring and compassionate man though. The women who work in the office are nice too, I just wish the volunteers were a bit more compassionate, considering their working with people who are struggling.

good people, kind and attentive volunteers. Food is good quality and even choices.The only thing is some people really abuse the generosity of the volunteers today Asian couple picked and chose bins over and over. need to have some sort of 1 time limit so that others can have some choices as well
