No wonder this coffee shop has such a high rating.. we were passing by Carleton place and stopped here for coffee and it didn’t disappoint… atmosphere is so inviting and modern, the coffee is amazing (we got espresso and iced latte) we also tried their avocado toast it was great.. if your in the area definitely don’t miss this lovely gem!

Beautiful café in the downtown core of Carleton Place. Lovely atmosphere, friendly and prompt service, great coffee, and delicious snacks. Recommendations: golden latte, any of their big cookies, as well as a fantastic egg salad sandwich.

A very welcoming space. Bright, roomy, comfortable. The music is easy to work or read with, and the various types of seating are different from most other places.
The staff at the counter were very pleasant. Huge smile, and very patient in answering my questions (regarding dietary restrictions and what options are available).
Love that they have options for food for those with different diets/needs.
Ordered an oat milk mocha and it was so good. Not overly sweet, just the right amount while letting the cocoa and coffee flavors through. Nice and creamy.
I'll definitely be back.

Update: I have tried a few of the baked goods, which are okay but not great, but not the food made in house. The coffee is always great! I'm not a fan of lattes so I stick with drip for the most part but I've branched out a couple of times for different beverages.
I also do want to mention that my partner doesn't do caffeine and the cafe owner did mention that decaf is always an option (unlike at Starbucks where it may not be available)

Love the atmosphere and coffee here. Staff are consistently professional and approachable. Really liked the previous roastery beans they stocked (can't remember the brand), and wasn't sure which detour blend to try. The barista was so sweet, and gave me her recommendations without any pressure.
I usually just get a drip coffee to go.

The chairs seem too high for the tables. Being being a shorter person, they make my back and legs hurt. I'd love to sit and hang out, but the couch and comfy chairs are usually taken.

Just had a large Americano so can judged food based on that. It was a little weak so either they use weak Espresso or they only add water to make a regular Americano large.

Service is quick and friendly as when it was not busy when I ordered, then brought the coffee to my table.

It was quiet when I came in, but quickly more people came later. Ambient music was a nice mellow selection.

Dining area was cool, which was great for getting out of the sun.

Overall nice, just don't recommend the large Americano.

I don't remember her name exactly, but I think it was Darlene or Darien, she gave us the best service. Unfortunately we had a long waiting because our order was mistakenly given to somebody else, but their hospitality was above and beyond. They not only offered us the refund but also gave a pecan bar as complimentary. She kept checking on us the whole time. We tried the mushroom toast and goodmorning sunshine , and both were worth it. Do visit for the service, ambience and food obviously 🙂

Excellent experience on our first visit! It's already popular and deservedly so especially given there's not many (if any) places of even near this quality in CP coffee house wise.

Beautiful inside - obviously something they've really considered and it shows - kind of a Scandinavian vibe I guess. They've made the most of the space because it's not that big - we did get seats straightaway but I can imagine at peak times might not always be so lucky but that's to be expected.

Dirty chai latte was superb - probably the best I've had in Canada and a generous size, the breakfast wrap, cookie and Nanaimo bar were all of the highest quality and I'd recommend them all. I really enjoyed the fruit that came with the wrap - little touches like that show the extra level of thought that's gone into this place. Service was friendly and very efficient - food came surprisingly quickly given it was busy. Quality is high so I feel the prices are very fair for what you get.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this place develops over time but if it maintains this quality then CP and the surrounding place will be lucky to have it.

Super nice and airy spot right on the Main Street in CP! They make a velvety smooth London Fog and I’d highly recommend the chocolate chunk cookie (which is vegan). I was particularly interested in their merch and other goods for sale too. They had tons of seating options and I’d love to come back here with my laptop to work next time.
