While it is challenging for me, and other former members of this group, to find positive aspects to highlight, there are several important concerns that must be addressed regarding the ADTP program. If you are considering joining this program in hopes of receiving guidance, support, and assistance with returning to mainstream schooling due to past personal struggles, such as bullying or interpersonal struggles, I would strongly advise against it. This program will not provide the environment you are seeking, as it often perpetuates the very issues it claims to address!!!!This program also seems to focus more on recreational activities rather than providing constructive, therapeutic exposure to support growth. Given that many of the youth that go to ADTP are behind in their schoolwork, a stronger, better focus on educational support would be beneficial for this program.
I initially joined the program with the expectation that it would offer a nonjudgmental and supportive atmosphere. Unfortunately, my experience was far from that. Staff members exhibited controlling behaviour, and in situations involving conflicts between students, certain staff members engaged in gossip, which was unprofessional.
There was a noticeable lack of consistency in how youth were treated. Staff members seemed to favor individuals based on their social and emotional demeanour.
The therapists, while kind and empathetic, were a source of frustration as well due to a lack of diversity in their perspectives. Despite their good intentions, their advice often proved unhelpful in addressing challenges at hand.
There were also instances where the principle of free speech and a safe space was disregarded as on one occasion, my friend was reprimanded privately by a youth care counselor (Prabh) and verbally scolded for making comments, which were perhaps insensitive, but they were typical of a teenage girls behaviour. This lack of understanding and professionalism further contributed to an uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment which later lead to me and my friend leaving.
In contrast to the issues mentioned, the educational staff, particularly Sasha and Mo, were very welcoming, supportive, and kind to all of the youth. They offered a positive and inclusive space in the classroom.

Additionally, while the activities they offered were enjoyable, the program was most impactful for my mental health due to the meaningful friendships I developed.

I’ve been going to foundry Abbotsford for almost a year and a half and I have never had any bad experiences with them. Only great things to say about them. Autumn really helped me out today as always. I’ve been having troubles with getting rubber bits in my testosterone vials because the needle gage was too big. Autumn gave me a lot of helpful tips and pointers. Once again super happy with the team that works there !
Ignore the “bad” reviews. This place is truly a gem !

Absolutely horrible! I went there a few years ago for mental health treatment and the psychologist told me I was making it up in my head. Two years later I was diagnosed with ptsd. Screw this place for not helping at all and instead making me believe that somehow I had made up symptoms. If you need mental health treatment don’t go here unless you want to be talked down to and told that you’re okay. I seriously hope that that psychologist is not employed anymore, I’m pretty sure his name was Dr. Agbahovbe. You made my problems so much worse I can’t believe people go here for help, I pray for all the kids who go here and are probably told the same thing, please for the love of good on this world do not send your kid here.

The A.D.T.P program is very excellent, and preeminent. The staff are amiable. The psychiatrist there is the best one I've had. He'll take you seriously, and won't shove a bunch meds in your face on a whim. He definitely knows what he's doing. This program has helped me immensely with my mental health. I've been able to get the proper treatment that I've needed. The wrap booklet which we used to help us understand our emotions reflect and make a safety plan, is very helpful. The outings we've gone on is great exercise and good for practicing mindfulness. As one of the student representatives of the program this last semester I would 100% recommend this to anyone who really wants, and is committed to getting mental help 🙂

Receptionist and Nurse made my day a whole lot better! Apart from the reason we actually needed to be at a clinic... we were also stressed because we could not find the 'walk-in Abbotsford Youth Clinic.' We had been around the block, and up and down various floors, until some kind soul told us that Foundry is for ages 12-24 and that maybe that was where we were meant to go? I would recommend better signage regarding services? All's well that ends well though! We come into a bright building and received kind --and immediate - walk-in service. Doctors are only on site on Tues to Thurs, (it was Monday) but both ladies went over-and-above by getting us what we needed and even booked us online with LifeLab!!! Thank You!!

Amazing staff and doctors that care about your wellbeing. It's super easy to book an appointment that works around your schedule. Five stars really aren't enough to describe how amazing the Foundry is.

I wish that I could give this place 6 stars, that is how amazing they are. I have been going to Foundry for around 3 years now and they have helped me through SO much! From the front desk to the nurses and the doctors, I've been fed when I needed it, and taken care of always. I always recommend Foundry to all of my peers 🙂
