)I am a senior that needs to go to food bank for food. Since Food for life has partnered with the Town of Oakville it has become poor to worse. The food is never fresh tomatoes. lettuce potatoes cucumbers and more are not fresh and would be thrown out by a supermarket. Volunteers hand you the food that is not sanitary. Several times I have been sick from meet that hasn’t been kept frozen properly. Poor selection no choices, ‘who eats organ meet, kidneys, beef hearts, and blood sausages. Even the bread is stale and more….
)I have concerns about going to the Town of Oakville since many loud demonstrations, the LGBQ demonstration , then a Hamas demonstration that needed a dozen police to protect the main entrance.
)Most currently they gave my food during my appointment time to a non residence homeless person who hangs out side of the Town of Oakville while pretending to be living out of a large green garbage can, he charges his cell phone in the front lobby, and looks dangerous, not changing his clothes for manny weeks.
)The main point is that this person is not a resident living at our building and got my food good hamburger this time rather other than organ meet, or hot dogs with meat byproducts or fatty sausages….
)How can any homeless man living out of large green garbage can cook hamburger at a homeless shelter. Something is very amiss with this for sure…..
)As a result, I do not feel safe at the Town of Oakville without my late wife’s support dog with me going into the Town of Oakville to access the Food for Life food bank at my appointment time…..
)I complained about these issues and recently are now denying entry communicated to me with a town security present by the Food for Life manager David now telling me they won’t allow my dog with me. Their reason is he expresses himself made a volunteer feel uncomfortable, once he expresses himself he speaks with a little bark when he is happy to get his share of dog food….
)Same issue there we got bad kibble from them, that must have been stored in a warm area, it causes severe vomiting and trips to the vets a are expensive…..
)Who is so lame to turn a blind eye to thus, and not see the discrimination they show here. According to manny low star reviews, they even removed one of their own volunteers cause of the fact that they were a LGBQ member…..
)More so now than ever is the very poor food quality causing vomiting and diarrhea from improperly frozen meet and bad lettuce wilted vegetables that of E. coli that can also cause these symptoms….. .
)This has gone from bad to worse and now Is my main reason for poor quality food to boycott Food for Life at the Town of Oakville….
)Concerned about your own health, don’t eat their food!

I am greatful for the effort. But I don't think you should put that you provide fresh food. The bread stuffs are usually expired and have to be frozen to last. The fruit is ripe. Even the root vegetables don't last more than a week. Mind you I'm starving when it is delivered so I'll eat it anyway. Donating food that can't be sold fast enough isn't real kindness. It is better than throwing it away, which could be be illegal. But that is a fight for another day.
