Friendly and efficient service. Staff remembers me and asks me how I’m doing and about various things in my life (such as past vacations and upcoming ones). I really love the layout and decor. I really dislike how they’re charging a fee for Chequing Accounts now, not having those was one of the things that made me open an account here.

Been a member since I got my first full time job You might say we grew together Always had support through cars,houses investments and general financial needs. Biggest disappointment today 07/20/24. Branch closed at 5 PM. ATM also. Needed cash as a gift. What up with that?

To be completely fair, I don't know why the reviews aren't stellar. This branch has helped me immensely with my finances. This was done with care, empathy, kindness and with utmost understanding. The staff here are wonderful and treat you with respect and quite frankly better than any other bank I've been with in 40 yrs. Thank you for helping me with my new beginning. Thank you for making me feel important and empowered.

I have been a member for over 50 years when it was first Stelco Credit Union. Up until this last year the service was very good but when I switched to the Brant Street Branch I have had little or no support when I asked why the ATM was not accessible on the off hours. It is basically a useless service if not accessible after hours. I appreciate the rationale of why it was done to keep homeless people from using it as a shelter but there was no effort by this branch to resolve the problem (i.e. outside kiosk) or like the majority of other financial institues to keep access open until at least 11:00 pm before locking the doors. This is total unacceptable.

Obstructive, combative, unhelpful service at every turn. Ill informed 'Investment Specialist' lies to customers, service failures totally ignored, Amanda does her job only grudgingly, when forced by complaints to the service centre that she can't just bury, and treats customers as though everyone had some criminal intent. No ATM OUTSIDE OF M-F business hours, and no concern for the barrier to access this causes for those without transportation who need to be able to bank close to home. (Incidentally a barrier along class and race lines) This branch really doesn't want customers. By all means, leave your Big Bank, but go to Meridian, or stuff your mattress. You'll get nothing but hassle here.

Melanie stayed late when I opened an account back in 2015 or so. That was AMAZING service! - Fast forward to the last few interactions and they have all been awesome! - Joshua Rigby is definitely the king of balancing customer needs/requests with corporate objectives! - Special shout out to the tellers whom work behind that counter- You're doing awesome too! 🙂

I had a terrible experience with this branch and a lady named Melanie. I booked an appointment to inquiry about an autoloan. Not only was I put into "a box" by the consultant from the moment I stepped into her office I was asked in several different ways why I was applying through them, and not my own bank or through a dealership and was questioned about my financial ability to be approved. There was no prep given for the meeting, I wasn't told to bring any paperwork and when I asked why I wasn't told Melanie explained that she was the only person in that branch that week and that is was her responsibility to call me in advance but she didn't have the time. I had to take time off of work, this has delayed my ability to start the process to be approved for a loan and I was treated poorly and left feeling like they didn't wanted my business. I've never had such poor customer service, I would not reccomend this branch to anyone.

Absolute pathetic service whether that be in branch or through email. Branch Manager does not give full attention, she is not at all welcoming, her attitude is as if she has been forced to fulfill her job duties. When I took my issue to the branch, I felt as if I am guilty of a crime unless otherwise proven. I would never have opened my account here and I have been trying to transfer my home branch. Super highly NOT recommended. Upper Middle Branch is much better. I would recommend higher management of First Ontario Credit Union that this branch staff should either be replaced or otherwise should be closed permanently.
