Jennifer Grant was our Project Manager with firstonsite, the first to come to our home and evaluate the damage, and continued to coordinate the repairs with our insurance company from beginning to end. She was thorough in her assessments and follow-up and we were relieved not to have to worry about anything throughout the entire process. We will definitely call upon her services again if the need arises.

I appreciated that the first person I dealt with in my home was the Project Manager (Jennifer Grant). She assessed the damage to our home and coordinated the team that would do the repairs. She also remained as our contact with firstonsite from beginning to end. I also appreciated the assignment of a Construction Supervisor (Adam Featherstone) who oversaw the actual work being done and coordinated the scheduling of workers with me around my schedule. He kept a close eye on the work as it progressed and kept me informed of any problems as they arose. He also made sure that what needed to be done got done even when problems came our way. Finally the men and women who did the repairs and cleanup were exceptional. Patrick, who was assigned to do the bulk of the repairs was thorough and exacting in his work and was patient to explain to me all that needed to be done to complete the work satisfactorily. Adam also came by to assess the work when it was done and to have the electrician fix a problem that arose with the pot lighting. He made sure that we were delighted with all aspects of the completed job before he departed. It is that kind of dedication to the customer, even when there are unexpected delays and unforeseen difficulties, that more than compensate for minor frustrations. Thank you to the whole team for a job well done!

My project manager Joe was super easy to work with and was quick to respond. The trades that were scheduled in were also very professional and considerate of our time and belongings. Part way through the project, Joe even brought the plumbers in on Christmas Eve to temporary reinstall the washer and dryer which my wife (and as you can imagine me) were very appreciative of. My store had water damage from the ceiling. This company got the contract from the landlord's insurance company. The first day, they came and said they will remove everything from my store out of the building so that they can repair the floors and ceiling. They didn't tell me the cost or the estimate time. They just sent their employees to come and pack the stuff from my store. The staff are unprofessional and they look like on call workers. They worked super slow and used tons of paper and card board boxes to wrap the stuff. I own a wholesale nail polish business and I have about 5,000 nail polish bottles. They wrapped about 5-10 bottles and put them into the FirstOnSite cardboard boxes. Each box contains around 50 bottles nail polish and the rest of the box was filled with paper. It's like when you buy a bag of chips and more than half of it is just air. If they continue to work as slow as this, I don't know when it can be done.
After 1 day and a half, I asked the Project manager, Justin B, the expense details for the storage. He told me it costs at least $50,000.00 just to move the products in and out, as well as storage. My store is 2000 sqft. I was surprised for the cost of storage and moving so I told him the cost is too high. My products and furniture had water damage so paying the amount requested would not cover the expenses for all the water damage. I decided to do the moving of storage products by myself to save money.
He only gave me 1 week to move everything out and I agreed. After that he talked to the landlord that I moved the stuff by myself and didn't let he and his team move my stuffs. He didn't tell the landlord that I made this decision because the cost was insanely high.
After everything was moved out from the store, his team came and worked very slowly. I received the invoice from them which was $3,000 for 1 day and a half for packing the stuff from my store with 4 staff. In the invoice there was no detail break down for working hours, how many boxes, how many Kg paper. Just 1 day and a half they charge $3,000.00? Rip off ..
We moved out of the store over 1 month ago on Aug 14 and now it’s already more than 1 month yet they’ve only taken off the floor and ceiling. They haven’t done anything in the past 2 weeks. My husband called the project manager, leaving him message but no answer. I came to their head office in Boundary to complain and talk on phone to a supervisor, she said she will reply me back to let me know what is going on ... but no one called me back, and the project manager has not contacted us back.
I want people to be aware of the services of this company. You must ask them the cost of moving and storage for your products if you don't want them to rip you off easily. After they got the contract, they will work slowly and they don't care how stressful your situation is. They don’t care about the business. FirstOnSite is an awful company.
