Upon opening my sub box I noticed the sub had been cut with a dirty knife as there was marinara sauce on the cut line of my sub, my sub did not have any marinara sauce on it, neither did my husband’s or my son’s. Not the worst, but not a great first impression. The marinara sauce aside, the sub looked nice and the first couple bites tasted nice too. However, about 4 bites in I felt something sharp in my mouth. I had a turkey sub so assumed maybe a bone fragment? But no, it was a staple. And before you jump to conclusions, I also thought okay how did a staple from the delivery bag get inside my sub. But there is NO WAY it could have. I ordered 2 large subs and a kids meal. I removed 2 large boxes, one small box, a juice box and wrapped Rice Krispy Square from the bag. Folded the bag and threw it directly into the recycle bin, outside of my kitchen door. The bag had been stapled shut without any tampering. All the subs were inside their own boxes, which were closed. The staple was embedded into the sub. It scratched the roof of my mouth, and obviously grossed me out. I’m not trying to be dramatic but if it had ended up in my child’s sub that could have been a very different end result, even a trip to emergency. I understand things happen. However why I decided to leave this review is because I contacted the firehouse subs support immediately to advise them of this. The customer service representative was very helpful and told me they would pass my details onto the franchise owner. It’s been almost a week. I haven’t heard anything. I’m an understanding person, but I have not received any kind of apology, refund or compensation (I’m just talking about a replacement WITHOUT a staple, not money!) from the Colwood franchise owner.

Good food, but service a bit slow! Staff are friendly, but the wait times to get a sub can be a bit long even if it isn't crazy busy.
I don't find the subs to be soggy, but they aren't exceptionally crispy either. I find the bread is a bit softer (than say subway), which i personally like!
Have been waiting for it to open, so was excited to try it. Staff and the owner are very friendly as well!

The subs were amazing and well stacked. I bit on the expensive side, but you taste the quality cuts.

Only complaint, no change table for the baby.

But still worth a try.

Don't order online, their app doesn't send the restaurant what add on's you make to your order, This is the 3rd time. I figured before it was a new store and had to work out the kinks.
I had to speak to their manager on their phone. They tried to fight me on what I ordered which was lettuce and mushrooms on one and hot sauce on the other. Plus the subs didn’t even have what it comes with on it. It was missing main ingredients. So yes I came back for fresh ones to be made and the manager yelled at me on their phone.

Goodness! Let me start there. 5 stars before even explaining myself!

Great establishment with such kind and generous staff that present their work with leadership, positive atmosphere and great people. Whoever is mentoring these staff, needs a promotion and should be proud! This vibe here is what ALL other places are missing!!
Plus all that hot sauce is incredible 🌶️ 😀

I normally don’t review anything but for this incredible restaurant I will! Amazing all across the board!! Staff is absolutely incredible! So happy with the service here and don’t even get me started on the food! Subs are delicious and the cookies taste home made! I come here with my dad and we’re currently working our way through every sub! I recommend 100%

Preet is fantastic. He makes you feel welcome. He’s quick and very kind.

The food is what you’d expect. It’s a fast food chain. However it IS better than subway. The bread tastes better quality. They give you a decent amount of protein which is always important in my book.

My partner enjoys the complimentary hot sauce station as well.

Today was my first time there and I was impressed! The sub I got was delicious. Since there are lots of diffrent sub options, we will definitely be going back again soon. They have friendly staff and clean restaurant. Also, you can choose to donate to the local first responders. 🙂
