I never do reviews but what a horrible staff of nurses at Espanola hospital. I was brought in emergency by an ambulance. They put me in a secluded room immediately. One nurse came in took my blood pressure and wasn't friendly at all. Then another nurse came in didn't say anything to me. After that another lady came in to take my address. I'm from Nemarket so this hospital is not familiar at all for me. I asked the last lady for a drink of water and she brought it to me not the nurse. I asked the last lady if she was a nurse she responded no. About 30 min later the first nurse came in to get something. I asked for another glass of water she said to use the bathroom sink water. I couldn't believe she said that. I asked her where she got my other glass of water she said from the sink outside of the room I was using. I then asked if she had a sandwich there I could have please. She then said their was no sandwiches made, it was around lunch time. Then about 20 min after I asked the second nurse if I could order food to the hospital. She said do you want to order from her or a restaurant. I told her that the other nurse said there were no sandwiches and then she said ok there isn't either. I then went to order my food from the taxi company. When I went to get my food from emergency doors. The nurse that told me to get my water from washroom asks me if I'm staying to be seen. I said yes I'm going to get my food. Then she continues to say let me know if you're staying or not. I asked her should I stay she says up to you. I decided to eat my meal and after my meal left because I was feeling better. I am so disappointed with the care the nurses gave me and how rude they are. I read another person's rating and they are most definitely "mean girls" they should be ashamed of their behaviors especially the one telling me to use the bathroom water. I hope they read this and understand how upsetting that was for me when I needed some care. I'm currently writing this in the Newmarket Southlake Hospital because Espanola nurses are horrible the 2 I dealt with. I wish them the best but please learn how to be kind to others.

On Friday evening at about 8:45 me and my friends came to this hospital after she fell and hurt her ankle on a hike and was in excruciating pain. When we entered there was no one to be seen and we walked around looking for anyone who worked there, but could not see anyone. Eventually after about 5 minutes of waiting and me knocking on multiple doors someone finally came out and gave us a number and let us know someone would call us in shortly. We were the only people in the emergency waiting room at this time and continued to wait another 25 minutes before someone came out and called our number. The first nurse was super nice and helpful, she did a quick checkup and then brought us to another room where we waited for another 40 minutes before I went up to the desk to ask if they knew how long approximately it may be before we see someone, because my friend was still in unbearable pain and we hadn’t seen anyone but the nurse who we saw earlier and had asked us why we were here in the first place. The two ladies looked up from behind their desk without even pausing the show they were watching and said in an extremely rude tone “no idea” I then asked if there was anything we could do to help her and they said “no she needs to see the doctor.” To which I responded well where is the doctor (keep in mind we saw the screen and it said 2 patients) the nurse with blonde hair then said “he’s seeing real emergencies” as if my friends broken ankle wasn’t an emergency. After this extremely unprofessional and rude interaction we left and went to little current hospital where we were seen with an xray in less then 3 1/2 hours and my friend had a broken ankle AND had amazing service. These women were out right rude and quite frankly grown adult mean girls. When people say all mean girls become nurses maybe they were right. Also to top things off this hospital is not wheelchair accessible and has no buttons for the bathroom or exit as well.

I told them I hurt my throat not the nurse or the doctor ever touched the outside of my throat and their version of an endoscope was short and went in through the nose so definitely didn't get deep enough...10/10 would return

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE SLEEP CLINIC. The sleep clinic itself was fine. Although, the elevator doesn’t work! Be prepared to walk down three flights of stairs, not very accessible! The “nurse” was very unprofessional and so unkind! She didn’t explain what she was doing as she was doing it, touching many areas of someone’s body while attaching these sticky wires and pushing them hard on you, there’s should be some communication ! I was asking questions to have her explain what she was using and bathroom procedures etc. It seems that it was an inconvenience for her. She was very mean and I had an aweful experience . I SHOULD HAVE JUST LEFT ! They don’t make you feel comfortable at all. There is definitely some disconnect between the booking information and when you actually get there. I was told a pillow and blanket is provided. If I wanted, I could bring my own, snack, book and phone. When I got there the pillows are plastic and you only get one thin blanket. I had to ask for another and the “nurse” was reluctant to give me one. BRING YOUR OWN PILLOW AND AN Extra BLANKET! It’s impossible to eat while hooked up and the “nurse” basically told me if I spill anything on my face the test won’t work. BOOK THE LATTEST APPOINTMENT AND GO DRESSED AND READY TO BE IN BED FOR THE NIGHT. The washroom is shared and you need to wait to be unhooked to go to the washroom. OVERALL THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A MEDICAL “PROFESSIONAL. “

I don't make reviews often but here I am. I am a asthmatic patient and have been here to try and get my monthly puffers for the last 6 months and I have to say I'm disappointed. The service is mediocre and the staff don't care mostly. I come in sometimes and the people behind me in line get ahead of me and I'm waiting for 2 hours for a simple quick checkup on my lungs and send me on my way to the drug store so I can breath. I would give more stars if they one day speed up the process and are more caring and less judgemental. Come here for real emergencies only but don't recommend it if you just need a checkup such as the case I have. Thank you all for ur service and work tho good docs!

We are from out of town and my son had an allergic reaction to fudge we ate. This hospital was 15 min. away from us and we rushed here and was taken in immediately. The nurses were so nice and calm. We didn't have to wait at all. We were in a room in no and gone hooked up to all the machine and an IV. DR. wanted to monitor him, so after 6 hours they let us go with some prescription for other medications. Great hospital with amazing staff.

I was thankful the doctor gave the option for a chest x-ray to help diagnose why I brought my son in for a high fever and wet cough. The x-ray caught the pneumonia, whereas the stethoscope did not. They didn't dismiss my concerns. And my son is healing because of that. Thank you.
