Fantastic church. I was really struggling with my faith when I moved to sylvan lake. Hadn’t been to church for years and was down in the trenches. God lined up all the steps to ensure I ended up at what was then “Gospel chapel” seven years, and one wonderful name change later, God and his friends at Emerge Church really helped me strengthen my faith and feel like I belong. Come as you are, Pastor Todd will welcome you with open arms and be excited to preach the good news. His sermons are personable and humble. Not to mention the worship team is like none other. Mamma Bear

After having had a wolf in sheeps clothing experience at a previous church, I went into every church we tried very guarded. Coming from a Baptist background I wasn't even willing to try a Pentecostal church but long story short God has a funny sense of humor. It didn't take long after following God's need to learn, that I could trust again. The people in this church genuinely care about you no matter what your past or present. The pastors love for Jesus and all of God's children is radiant, the preaching is biblically sound, the worship team are absolutely amazing and the children's ministry program is awesome too. All credit in everything done is given to God. This is not the "people's" church, this is GOD'S church and we feel so blessed to have found it.

Friggin Liberals

This church is wack. "Pastor" Todd is a straight up narcissist. From the moment he took the stage it was clear the morning was about him, no matter how many times he mentioned Jesus. He certainly made an effort to have his sheep giggling and bleating, but he did not preach the gospel. In fact, he didn't even open up a Bible and read a single verse. Not one!! He told stories and anecdotes that were intended mainly as entertainment, but had no serious relation to anything remotely resembling a sermon. He even tried to criticize and ridicule the old phrase, "repent and sin no more." This is what he called "preaching the truth." It was more like watching a janitor try to explain photosynthesis to a pile of rocks.

If you're looking for a biblically faithful church, head into Red Deer and check out City Chapel, or Bethany Baptist Church. If you want to turn off your brain on Sunday morning and guffaw at bad jokes, Emerge will suffice.

I had been out of church for a few years and my spouse of 10yrs had never gone or had much interest. I found Pastor Todd through and Alpha class and fell in love with the church. And so did my spouse!

I have been attending Emerge church since Christmas and am so comfortable. Very friendly & welcoming, the worship time is so uplifting and the holy spirit is definately present. The pastor is also very friendly and gives heartfelt sermons.. I'm feel blessed to have been led to this place of worship.

You feel welcome when you enter the church. Worship is stellar and Pastor Todd delivers a thought- provoking, biblically sound, soul-stirring message. This Church has a great children's ministry and ladies' Ministry.
