It’s been a pleasure to know about this place. Last year for international women’s day, they hosted an absolutely fantastic and unique event. The most inspiring and amazing event I’ve ever experienced in my 23 years of living in Vancouver as an immigrant.
Kudos to you all for helping and supporting women’s health and safety.

Usually when I walk into the Downtown Eastside Women's Center I am greeted by someone at the door. If I need help with anything there is usually someone to help me with whatever I am asking for.

Great shelter the staff are so kind, despite me having ADHD and with the inattentive type they are super helpful and kind, I prefer talking to them, some individuals if any are rude so staff do try their best to tell them to stop being rude, also when going to get donations go early and also put your name down first on the list before the old Chinese ladies do as they take the stuff to sell in Hastings in their illegal market, safe place here for tea/coffee and talking to the community

The Downtown Eastside Women's Centre provides avenues for the community to have a direct, positive impact on the lives of vulnerable women in need. Clothing and hygiene products can be donated, and an updated list of items needed can be found on their website. I'm moving and was pleased that I could support this great cause by donating my perfectly good clothing and some hygiene products which I hadn't used! The staff was courteous and the process, efficient. I encourage them to accept clothing at least during one day on the weekend as their hours are inaccessible for those who work 9-5 jobs on weekdays.

It is a great place. The women who work there are very friendly and warmly welcome any and all women. They also offer all kinds of help and if they can't they will direct you ti where you can get what help you need! If your a women in the DTES I highly recommend you stop by.

Over the years that I have been going to the center I have seen first hand preferential treatment given to the Chinese guests, indigenous women being openly discriminated against and myself being singled out and while aggressive women with obvious addiction and mental health issues harassing and threatening me within full view and earshot of staff the toxic behavior being excused my reaction being judged and used against me as evidence of me being of poor character. I have witnessed and filmed footage of multiple staff members in multiple incidents of a pack mentality against me and in collaboration with Atira and the Vancouver police using illegal entrapment tactics to trigger a reaction the center staff can use to justify trespassing me from the property permanently out of pure malice when no credible evidence can be found.
