I just finished several days in the Digby Hospital and was very pleased with my care from Dr. Obi and the nurses. I find Dr. Obi to be extremely kind and careful and am very happy to have him as my family doctor. The nurses were likewise wonderful, compassionate and kind. It is a small facility but I certainly got the care I needed, and I appreciate it a great deal.

As in any doctors office - the wait time can range from on time to 1/2hr past etc.. The staff are wonderful. The doctors are thorough.

The downside is that it purports to be a walk in clinic but I don't feel that they follow those rules. You have to call every morning to try to beat everyone else to get a same day slot to see the doctor. When I get asked if I have a family doctor I say the clinic and whom I see the most.

I have been seeing Dr. Njoku Chidozie Obinna for about a year now. It is very confusing since I can't understand most of what he says. I've asked for a translator twice when I booked my appointment and they never provided one. An example is recently I went in for a follow up to my shoulder injury. I had originally went to the Emergency Department in September 2024 and found out my CT scan wasn't until September 2025 in Yarmouth. I was advised by the Yarmouth group to try another location to get a CT scan earlier. I spoke to the A/N Dr. about this who I believe he said would make a referral. I called to check in on the progress and the new referral was never made. I also understood that he was going to set me up with physio therapy, but I hadn't heard back on that yet neither. I was advised when I called to inquire that I needed to make the call myself to physio. While I am grateful to have a doctor after waiting 5 years, I see no benefit to having one I can't understand. I feel embarrassed when I keep asking him to say things three times and I still don't understand him.

I had an appointment.
Everything went fine. The only snag was using google maps to get there, the obvious front door was locked, so you had to go through the breezeway and access via the back door

These people really do care about there clients. I have better health care from my nurse practitioner here then I did from my GP in Ontario.
