We took the ferry just to see if we could see the whales or seals. We saw lots of seals.
I’m still trying to understand why foot passengers had to embark last. Disembarking was better though with foot passengers disembarking when one level of cars was emptied. This made more sense, instead of standing around forever waiting when there was no seating area.
The ferry was clean. Toilets were clean. And interestingly the fries 🍟 were really good!! Watched a movie in the lounge. I’d recommend the journey just for pleasure or as an alternative route from Nova Scotia to New Brunswick.

Easy access to the ferry, well organized. We received a reminder by text ahead of time. The gate asks for your booking number and gives you your boarding pass. You need this to board the boat, an attendant will take youe tickets as you are directed onto the boat.

We took it from Saint John to Digby and back next day. Ferry departure was right on time both ways and perfectly organized boarding and disembarking . On board lay out and atmosphere was really good and service was excellent. You can grab a bite as well. It takes a bit more than 2 hours each way.
It gets crowded during summer so reservations are highly recommended.

Beautiful ship to take you from Digby, Nova Scotia to Saint John in approx 2 hrs 15min. First time driving onto a ship. Cost = $239 with 3 passengers. Just made the ferry after landing in Halifax hours before departure. There is food on the ship and plenty of good views during the journey. Relax and enjoy the trip!

Well worth it! Great experience! We took the ferry from Digby to St John. The boat was huge and very comfortable with food and snacks and a gift shop and tables with comfy seating as well as lounging chairs. A great trip and way to get back to mainland in style.
