I went to the emergency room at this hospital once, and I had a really good experience. The staff was super welcoming and patient. I could tell they truly cared about my situation. The wait time was reasonable too. Trust me, I’ve been there. I once had to wait 23 hours in the Montreal area...

First time going to Deep River Hospital.
I took my oldest daughter in to get her finger checked to make sure it wasn't broken, while going through the triage process my youngest was running and fell and hit her head and cut it open so she was triaged too as it happened right in front of the triage nurse who was amazing and sweet /patient with the kids. Once finished we were taken into one of the rooms where both kids were seen quickly. One sent for x-ray while the doctor cleaned and checked the others head and assured me there was no need for stitches. All of this was done inside of an hour.

While visiting my son and his family in Deep River , I broke my femur while skating at the Deep River Arena, and was taken to the Deep River and District Hospital by ambulance. My experience there was a wonderful combination of caring and competence. The staff was very friendly and knew their stuff. After a night in the ER, I was transported to Pembroke for surgery. Pembroke hospital was also great. After a successful surgery and 5 days of recuperation, I was sent back to Deep River for further convalescence and physio. Again, my experience was amazing. It is a small hospital, and has a very friendly feel to it. The staff are working their collective tails off, but are always friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. The physiotherapist, Juan Carlos helped me to get mobile, and after a week I was discharged to my son's house until I was well enough to fly back to New Brunswick. It was only the second time I had ever been hospitalized, but they made a bad situation very bearable. The food was even pretty good. I was very impressed with the entire hospital and the people that work there.

Terrible. Came in with my son who has strep. Waited three hours with only three people in front of us. We left. Never again. What a joke

What a great staff at this small hospital. We were on vacation, very far from home. Being a small hospital, they didn’t have the resources to treat my condition but they still gave me antibiotics to hold me over until I could drive home and see my doctor. dr Owen, the nursing staff, and the receptionist were so kind and friendly. Thank you deep river hospital for taking me seriously and looking after me!

Came here because my wife has extremely terrible morning sickness. The wait was short, and staff were quick and accommodating. An insane contrast compared to the Pembroke Hospital. Blood work and ultrasound were extremely quick as well.

Brought my brother to ER on Oct 4th for bloodwork. Athena RN was so caring and compassionate and even though he was palliative, she listened and comforted him. He had a IV started by another gentle mannered RN. The doctor also was equally as professional. Our wait time was 15 min. And they immediately got him a stretcher for comfort. The hospital is very clean and quiet. I cannot thank the staff for giving my brother the respect he needed even though he was palliative, they addressed all of his concerns. Each of you are an asset to Deep River Hospital and you are truly angels🙏yours truly

Absolutely amazing with my 3 year old. Everyone was so patient with her throughout the whole process of being in emergency. I'm extremely appreciative of the staff at this hospital.
