When our property was damaged from a leaking dishwasher, an insurance claim was submitted and Danuk Construction Ltd. was assigned as our contractor. We had an excellent experience with this company and Project Manager Dasen Shi who responded quickly to any of questions raised or issues incurred. In late summer we had water damage that started under the sink in our upstairs bathroom. We woke up to find water had poured out of the bathroom into our bedroom and downstairs ruining some of the ceilings, walls and flooring. We had our family on their way for a two week visit and thought we would have to cancel their trip. We called our insurance early that morning and Danuk responded right away. Dasen was our project manager and he said they would make it so our family could still come. The team pulled out the soaked ceilings, drywall and baseboards and put in many fans for drying. Then they made sure the basement bathroom was in working order and cleaned out all the mess. We hung tarps for walls and it worked out great. Once our family visit ended, all the trades came in one by one to put our basement back to the way it was. Each trade that came in did an exceptional job and everyone went beyond to make everything right. I have to say we had the pleasure of getting to know many different trades that did such a great job and if we need work done in the future, they are our go to list. Dasen was there for us every step of the way and always took the time to get back to us with any questions we had. Besides the basement, we decided to have our upstairs bathroom renovated so my husband who has mobility issues could have a shower he could manage to use. When the tub was removed and the tile below the window was taken off, the carpenter found rotten wood and mushroom mold under the window. He worked so hard to get all the damaged wood and mold out. All that was left was the back of the stucco. Then he rebuilt the wall from the inside to adhesive to the stucco saving us a major cost of having the whole piece removed from the outside. The people that had to pull down all the damage and move everything, Drywallers, Plumber, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Tile and floor layers all did an outstanding job and we are so happy that we chose Danuk Construction.
