From the moment we arrived there was a warm friendly welcome and fun atmosphere. Our cabin was clean, cosy and comfortable. The scenery is amazing. You will not go hungry here. All meals are generous and delicious. The best we have had on our whole trip. There is a very inclusive feel as guests share stories of their day and the owners take a genuine interest. Going fishing for the first time with a great guide was the highlight, especially when you get to eat your catch. This is a true gem of a place.

We were on a round trip in Alaska and Yukon for our summer holidays. We stayed for only two nights at the Dalton Trail Lodge and had a great time. The atmosphere was very relaxed and cozy, the rooms were very spacious, clean and quiet.

The food was excellent, a tasty breakfast in the morning and a four course meal in the evening. For lunch we could choose what we would like to eat like sandwiches, fruit, eggs, you name it. Everything was packed in a cool box. They were very attentive as my wife prefers vegetarian food, but does not make an issue out of it. They directly noticed and adjusted all meals accordingly.

Although we are no fishermen and only stayed there for a very short time, we felt very welcome and enjoyed our stay a lot!

Absolutely a wonderful experience in a beautiful setting! My stepson and I went to fish but our guides had to constantly get me to focus on the fishing because I would find myself staring with my mouth open at the views. The lodge is rustic but 1st class. Everyone one there was a joy to get to know. And don’t get me started on the food! 4 coarse meals every night impeccably prepared.

Oh my gosh, where do I start? Incredible fishing opportunities. We caught beautiful grayling and rainbow trout in the Kathleen River. Quality northern pike on Kloo Lake. Lake trout hit streamers on the home lake. They are strong fish. Make sure you bring an 8 or 9 weight rod and a reel with a strong drag. Top notch guides. Comfortable and clean accommodations. The food was off the chart. Gourmet but not sissy food. Hearty breakfast to start your day. Sandwiches made to order. Killer cookies! Excellent staff and welcoming hospitality. We had an awesome time. They do it right.

We had a lovely three night stay here. I emailed with the owner ahead of time and was advised no need to book a package, they could set up excursions the night ahead and all would be fine. I was a little nervous that he never asked for a deposit, and even declined making me pay one when we got closer to go time. Emailed the night before we arrive to make sure all was well and it was.||First off - the nitpicks - communication was a bit sparse, but I think our approach wasn't typical. We spent a few nights in Whitehorse ahead of time, rented a car and moved over. I had to ask what time check in was (1 PM) and then when we got there (at like 3) there wasn't really anybody waiting, had to get attention of somebody in the kitchen (but he was as nice as could be). Had to ask when dinner was, where it was...he answered all questions, but I still had some more (when's breakfast? how do I secure tomorrow's fishing trip? When do i pay? How do we do the packed lunch?). I think a lot of people get picked up in Whitehorse and get a 2 hour orientation while driving to the lodge. it all worked out; not a big deal, just a little anxiety at the start.||The meals were good. I'm not going to say gourmet dining, but by all means; above average with a high end menu. We had prime rib one night, ribs one night, and cornish hen one night. Meals are 4 course, with an appetizer, salad, and dessert. If you bring a fish back, they'll cook it and add it into your meal as well (we took one ~15" lake trout to dinner; it was gonna die so we kept it). Breakfast is standard diner fare (eggs anyway you want 'em, meat, bread with juices and coffee), but it was always good. Lunch is a bagged sandwich that you custom select what you want on it with lots of options, then they throw in a side of your choice (fruit, cookie, beef jerky, boiled egg). It all went smoothly.||Our excursion was primarily going to be to Kluane lake for trophy lake trout. They don't get a lot, but the ones they get are huge. I was more interested in reliability of catching something so that didn't fully suit me but then when we got up there to the lake, the wind was whoosing and there were concerns with getting the boat back on the trailer so we bailed. The backup plan was a jetboat ride on Kathleen river and we had a ball. It was lovely. We caught several rainbows, a couple lake and a single grayling. ||The next day, the guide who drove us to Kluane and back set us up with shoreline gear and waders and we caught grayling to our hearts content on the shores of Lake Dezadeash, about 150 yards from our cabin. Wife and I loved it. We mixed in a couple hikes while there as well at Kathleen Lake and the Rock Glacier.||We thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

We loved our (too short) stay at Dalton Trail Lodge. We stayed in a comfortable and cozy log cabin - there was so much room to spread out. The property is beautiful, with a few small trails through the woods and down to the lake. The food was absolutely incredible - dinner was four courses, the highlights of which were the tuna poke and a pastry that wouldn't have been out of place in a Parisian cafe. (And there is so much food - you definitely won't go hungry!) Bartender and server Jamie was friendly and kind, as was Matt who served breakfast. But honestly, everyone who works there was wonderful. This is a great base for an outdoor adventure in the Yukon.
