I’ve been supporting at COR now for 4 years and I can’t imagine doing anything else. Everyone here is so understanding, supportive, and caring and there’s so much room for growth. COR really strives for connections, community and togetherness and you really feel that in all the activities and events COR puts together. I’ve really grown as an individual here and as much as I’m here to support the individuals that need me— they support me just as much. We help to get eachother out of one’s comfort zones and grow together. Theres so many likeminded people here and I’ve built so many friendships— it really feels like one big family. I highly recommend joining COR, whatever that looks like to you! 😊

COR is a great organization, changing the way we provide direct support to the folks in our community and I am so lucky to be apart of the bigger picture. Switching from an agency after over 12 years to COR is a decision that I only regret not making sooner. I fully and truly believe COR is actions, not just words. They stand behind their philosophies, policies and procedures. They want people to be respected, to feel supported and actually care about the people they support and their employees. You can just feel it in the environment and see it in the supports. Everyone is happy, relaxed and enjoys their job. They mean what they say and they say what they mean. They really do want employees to have a balance and be the best version of themselves. They are engaged with the people they support, the individuals are the priority. Even the staff who may not be the supports at the houses know who everyone is that COR supports, they know history, they know updates, family dynamics, etc. They actually build relationships and care about them.

Working at cor has fundamentally changed my life and my outlook on how I see things thanks to the people who work at COR at all levels within the organization and as well thanks to gentle teaching. It’s help to put into words what being a good person is all about and has helped me strengthen relationships in my life in all aspects. COR is a great place to work. Starting as a front-line support when I was in university, they were able to build skills and values I did not know I had, and turned a part-time job into a career.
