It's the heart of Georgina, offering services to both residents and anyone doing business in the township. The planning department is painfully slow unless you're increadibly annoying, like most municipalities in the GTA. The municipal compound, which has a lot of history, is slated to be replaced by a newly constructed municipal building in the near future. Currently, the site building sits in the middle of a huge parcel of land surrounded by the ROC, the pioneer village, and other amenities.

Terrible people giving parking tickets just befor the holidays for being half a foot too far off our own driveway, meanwhile there are multiple cars parked on the road all of the holiday now and still not tickets ? specifically the white car on joe dales with the flat tire. If u dont ticket or tow them away stop stealing our money for being in our driveway. Not our fault the town signed off on a sidewalk going threw less than half of the driveway while others at the top of simcoe landing have plenty of room on both ends

Three years ago now town employees mistakenly scalped all of the trees across the front of my property with a grading machine not designed for that type of work. The results were horrific, not to mention, the drift wood fence was destroyed along the entire length. They came back to repair the fence after I voiced my concern. The repair lasted until the next wind.
Also we were promised some replacement cedar shrubs in the fall, to fill some of the gaps left by the destruction.
The repairs were supposed to commence in the fall of 2019 but when nobody showed up we inquired again in 2020 with another promise of the fall of 2020.
To this point I have not heard a thing from them.
Really disappointed since the Mayor knew about the issue almost from the beginning and assured us it would be rectified.
One Star service at best!

This is a story and a half! I had a problem with them and it got quickly resolved. You see, I went and couldn't pay my taxes - on the day they were due. Because of Covid the main entrance was closed. However the receptionist spoke to me through the glass, and advised me that since I wasn't paying by cheque to go to a bank. I was concerned that a pay lag would incur a penalty, and she agreed. I did go and kill 30mins waiting in line at my bank. Concerned, I emailed my local councilor. Within 20 mins he and a town administrator had emailed me back reassuring that there was a period of grace and that I was fine. Great councilor and administrator, great response. Amazing local, and I mean local, government performance. Thank you.

Had to go up to the Civic Centre to see if I could find a survey for one of my listings. The staff were very helpful and fortunately they were able to find a copy of my clients survey. They provided me with a copy and I was out the door within 5 mins. Awesome service!

Carrick has smelled like sewage for 2 weeks now! Called the town and they won’t do anything! They just keep boycotting my calls and saying it’s an ongoing issue. There have been on and off sewage smells since October 31st of 2020! How much longer?
