Terrible service. The local number never gets answered. Gets transferred to head office. May as well get your insurance online. Complete joke. I pay my insurance annually lump sum. The payment got missed and they told me they sent the notice to my “online profile” which I’ve never used. What ever happened to dealing with an actual person. Customer for 25 years and this is how you get treated. Unbelievable.

My family recently moved here. My walk in experience with Co operative . Was awesomeness. Sonia took me right in. After about 15 minutes of talking. I had the most awesome affordable auto insurance package. I was smiling she was smiling we was smiling my wallet was singing. I got Quotes from the big 4 and this local company was lower than the rest by a lot. When ever your driving around just stop in there on Main Street branch.
I did ended up saving a whopping $1200 by having a simple 15 minute conversation with Sonia .

I had a horrible experience with a financial advisor that now works here when they were at IG Financial in 2022, and I ended up complaining to IG, FP Canada, and OBSI to get my complaint resolved. I would suggest getting every conversation in writing or email so that you have documentation of what your advisor tells you. Don't let them just call you back to answer your emailed questions verbally because then you don't have a record of what they said and how they advised you, rightfully or wrongfully.

I've been with Cooperators for 12 years and I have been satisfied with the services they provide in way of automotive insurance. My concern has only to do with my past experience with their financial advisor when they worked at IG Financial.

Im 51yrs of age and from a small community.
Not to many choices
When first joined the Co-op
i was young and didn't have pretty good service but then my agent was just to help full and did things that were wrong
so I moved to Peace RIVER
Well things were better but the staff turn around was high. Me being employed by a co -op had to stay together
well this will by my close to 30yrs with them.
Yes i had people say they are high prices
well getting to know the people there
WOW what a amazing job they do
and they should be thankful for all the hard work they do

in the P.R branch

This place is good for walk ins but apparently that doesn’t work anymore you have to do it over the phone so might as well shut down the office. I tried calling them once and was on hold for over an hour then the line cut off so I tried again and i was on hold for over 2 hours then it cut off again so if I was you I wouldn’t waste my time
