It’s amazing and awesome but unfortunately a little disappointed at the director for how he handled a situation with a lady and that we get your understaffed but someone could at least go through and wash all the moldy food you guys keep accepting specially if you don’t store it properly you can still get people sick with mold also would love to see someone at least put a restriction on the free for all stuff in the front there has been multiple times we have seen people do multiple trips back and forth from their car and not leave stuff for others overall love the food bank cause it does help but there’s just tiny bit of things they could at least do and would love to see the executive publicly apologize to the lady that made a simple little joke then got the cops called on because she made a simple little joke don’t hide from people when you know they are wanting to talk to you!

For the first time in my life today I made the decision to visit the food bank. Even though I have 2 jobs it's been difficult to keep the fridge stocked with healthy food so I was extremely thankful to be offered so much for free. Thank you to the volunteers who were friendly and offered as much sustenance as possible. I plan to give back when things are better financially.

They welcome everyone, much nicer location than previous incarnations. Bright, clean and well organized. Disabled friendly, no stairs and open flow. The volunteers are friendly and nonjudgemental. Would be nice if they had a covered area outside for inclement weather, but no other complaints.

I THINK THIS IS WONDERFUL. I HAVEN'T BEEN THERE FOR A FEW YEAR. WOULD LOVE TO BE ABLE TO VOLUNTEER BUT HAVE a disease called CRPS and when I did go a few years ago, the staff were amaging in helping me. We have an amazing amount of homeless people in this town, and I try and help them when i can so it feels nice to know that they can go to the food bank.
I would like to thank the volunteers for their time and hard work you provide.. You make this an even nicer community to be a part of. So again, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for all that you do.

This food bank helps sooo many people and families in the valley who really need it. Food is so expensive now that without food banks it would be nearly impossible for so many people and families to be able to eat normal. I think I speak for many when I say how much the food bank here in courtenay is appreciated and valued alot.

Usually loads of food . Covid measures in place. When driving people there staff is very helpful and not judgemental. There was one lady there that was rude and i believe racist as I watched her treat a native lady with such ignorance and watched her like a hawk telling her to put back stuff. Was sickened spoke with manager and i haven't seen her lately. Some people are very nice and some rude andlook down on you. Most people dont want to be getting hand outs . You dont know whsts happening in their life . Treat everyone with the same respect
