I've been with Coast Capital for a few years but since moving to the Island my branch choices are incredibly limited. My city has no branch so I'm forced to drive a minimum of about 30 minutes if I need to go into a branch for any reason. It's still worth it to me for the "no fee checking account" which carries no minimum balance. For day to day banking their lack of fees make them an attractive choice.

Recently moved all of our banking from Tangerine to Coast Capital. Only been a few months but I am so far very impressed... Highlights being the excellent mortgage terms (March 2022) awesome incentive programs and stellar customer service.

The hours can be a little iffy but the Comox branch only has so many staff so it's not practical to ask for much more. They're open Saturdays and that's all that matters to me... All the staff has been friendly and helpful every time I go in I get a warm greeting and my concerns are always addressed promptly.

I have banked with coast capital since its inception and have always been a big proponent of them and their services. A recent experience has left me thinking of closing my accounts and moving my funds elsewhere. Recently my accounts have been saying insufficient funds whenever I try to do anything despite showing that there are more than sufficient funds in the accounts. There was no notice or message and I have tried to contact them multiple times. They have effectively frozen my money, which is beyond frustrating. Definitely going to rethink this credit union.

Following 7 minutes advertising and marketing recorded message, full of incoherent information, I was told to leave my prone number for a "call back" with no specific or estimated time. Why is their paid employees time more valuable then their customers time? I thought it was us, customers, who are paying them!!

Trying to call the branch and there is no answer or ability to leave a message after numerous attempts. Most frustrating. This will result in a 30 km drive to the nearest branch to get the information that could easily have been provided via a phone call. Not impressed at all.

Absolutely horrible..they won't reakse funds that cleared 2 weeks ago , customer service is useless with no help, not returning phone calls or able to give a straight answer...take your business elsewhere
