Volunteered for 6 years reading newspapers. Now i have a guy going door to door, knocking on my door 3 times in 3 hours asking for donations.

I have 3 no soliciting signs up. He says that asking for donations is not soliciting.

I asked for his home address to knock on his door, to ask for donations, for causes that respect home privacy without ignoring your request for privacy.

He declined to give me his address because he wants privacy.

Funny, that.

This organization needs better door to door representatives. The representative that was at my door some time ago was very rude and it caused me to forget about ever wanting to donate to this place.

Please note, being rude makes people not want to donate to your cause, however noble it is.

CNIB and Vision Loss rehabilitation Manitoba have been so helpful to me as a new immigrant here in Winnipeg experiencing total blindness. i’m so super impressed. everyone here is so accommodating and inclusive. COLIN especially who is my mobility trainer is such an amazing man. So friendly and trains me so well on how to move around. Kris recently started teaching me how to use my Windows laptop and he is also friendly and accommodating as well. The only thing I wish for is to be more social events here in Winnipeg.. like mental health programs, activities, empowerment programs and even fun programs because I’m a very social person.. All the same, I’ll give you guys five star anytime any day.

Your recent email campaign is click bait - says “Your e-receipt is attached - thank-you”

As a former monthly donation contributor… I was thinking you’re charging me again when you shouldn’t be, of course I opened it. This tactic is over used and very much a turn off. Please stop, you’re better than that.

Their telemarketer called me this evening, and when I told him it wasn't a good time to donate, he demanded to know why. I apologized to him and then he hung up while I was talking. Not a very good impression of this organization... I will not be donating again.

Can't speak for the staff at the actual building but the person who knocked on my front door last week asking for donations was incredibly rude. Not a very good first impression.

Sadly in my 50 some years of dealing with this organization they have repeatedly proven to be useless. Which is unfortunate because there is a need for supportive services but the money isnt there to hire decent staff. Every time a long term staff member leaves they are either not replaced or rrplaced by someone not capable if doing the job
