The support is unbelievably amazing and awesome!

Im originally from toronto but i was in town for a family event and my baby for a fever. From the beginning of emergency to getting admitted and in our room only took 5 hours that also includes the blood test and urine test!

Really really quick!

At sick kids in toronto we had waited 7 hours and the doc had mentioned to us that it will still take another two hours before the get to us! And this was just earlier this same week!

Our daughter, Zoe, was born 3 months early weighing only 1 pound 4 ounces. Thanks to the wonderful care in NICU including the use of the fantastic equipment (supported/paid for by Children's Health Foundation and its wonderful donors) Zoe survived multiple surgeries and a 4 month stay at the hospital. Zoe is now a thriving and healthy kid leading a normal life. We so fortunate.

Our daughter is followed by a fabulous paediatric cardiology team at Children's Hospital and has had to be seen by multiple areas. Child Life and Art Therapy have been a huge help in helping her on this healthcare journey as she grows. We cannot say enough about the wonderful care she has been given over the years. In November 2012 my daughter had to be delivered at on my 25 weeks gestation after I Developed HELLP syndrome. Prior to my daughters’ early arrival, I knew nothing about prematurity or the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Like most people, I just thought that premature babies were just tiny babies who just needed more time to grow. We would quickly learn that a journey with prematurity is so much more then that! My daughter spent her first few months on different ventilators, hooked up to machines and staying warm and cozy inside her Giraffe OMNI bed while the Neonatologists and Nurses provided her with outstanding care. Because of Children’s Health Foundation, the N.I.C.U at LHSC has up-to-date machines, medications, research and technology to help the tiniest and medically fragile babies survive and overcome the obstacles that they face during their stay in the unit. Lexi battled and overcame so much during our 109 days stay and we are so thankful for the generous donors who help the Children's hospital get the equipment they need! Because of LHSC and Children's Health Foundation , my daughter will be graduating kindergarten this year along with her peers. Thank you Children's Health Foundation for making families’ hopes dreams and wishes come true!!!
