Unprofessional. Liars. twist your words to make you look bad for court! They encourage couples to break up instead of working through their problems with therapy/ counselling (which is better for the child) they manipulate mothers to think the best option to not have the father around the child and it’s best to be a single mom. If you don’t listen, they threaten to keep your CAS file open

My son, his girlfriend and their child and I have been dealing with CAS since May and the first worker that we were dealing with was actually interested in my Granddaughters well being! Her name was Elissa, she actually sat there with us and listened to us regarding my precious Granddaughter! Elissa, witnessed first hand that the mother was intoxicated and using a drug substance!
Then our case got transferred to Michelle and in the beginning she seemed to have my Granddaughters best interest until the mother and her mother kept Emma from my son for 10 days without us seeing her at all! My son was heart broken, it was killing him inside as he has never been away from his daughter that long! My youngest son and I went to get my Granddaughter and the police had Michelle on the phone and she told us there was nothing she could do even though CAS is above the police! I was told by CAS! My son and I were kind enough to bring Emma up there but they had this all planned not to give her back! The police that were up there were very kind to my youngest son and I! You could tell they felt bad especially seeing my Granddaughter crying in the front window of her Nana's place crying Dadda! The Nana would not even let us see or talk to my Grandchild!
Michelle, finay went up to Krystals mom's house (Emma's Nana)! She has told my son that she would get back to him and set up a meeting but now they are saying he is harassing them because he keeps on calling to find out what is going on for the safety of his daughter! Michelle, has not returned any of his calls!
I, the Grandmother have left a message with two of the Executive Directors which are Melanie and Kelly and they have not gotten back to me as well! I am the baby's Grandmother and I take care of my Granddaughter quite often! I have been with my Granddaughter more than her own mother has! It is unfortunate that some of these workers don't actually care for the child's safety!
The mother of my Granddaughter was in a hit and run and she took off from the scene of the accident intoxicated and hit 5 kids and two adults and thank God they are all ok! But that night Wednesday, August 14, 2024 when the accident happened we had a back up worker come to our house her name was Jennifer Kyte! She was very rude with us and did not care what we had to say! She was rude from the first time she stepped foot into my house! So she took my son aside and then took me aside and wanted us to give up my son's daughter to the mother the night that the worker left to go visit with with the mother who 1/2 after she left the mother of my Granddaughter got into an accident, hitting a van with 5 children and 2 adults while intoxicated and left the scene of the accident! My Granddaughter could of been in that car with her mother who took it upon herself to get into the car while being under the influence of alcohol and most likely drugs! This worker Jennifer Kyte, told us that Krystal was very calm when she talked to her over the phone but had never met her in person and still has not met her! So, I told her you are in for a big surprise when you meet her and she just shrugged and left but 1/2 hour after this worker left my house my son received a call from the mother of his child and she was on speaker phone where their were 2 other people listening besides my son and I and she could barely talk that's how intoxiated she was and said she had been in an accident and then called back a few minutes later to say that she was walking! No one could understand her exceopt myself but this worker Jennifer wanted us to return my Granddaughter that night! Now where in the world is the safety for our children and grandchildren ! They are up to this day, ignoring all of our calls! This makes me sick to my stomach! You have a parent who actually cares about the well being of his daughter and they don't care to help him or listen to him!
I do want to thank Elissa as she was truly caring! I wish that they had more workers like her who actually care about the well being of a child!

I lost my daughter to them cause her dad that’s dead now so how at risk is she? What can I do now to gain access to my daughter or find anything out. I’m back with her older brother now that was delt in a different area and I’m not anywhere close to Ottawa but would like to find out about my daughter

In my case, I couldn’t trust them at the moment because I felt that they were hiding something from me. But they have good intentions and they do wish you to become a better parent without their involvement or police, your child is your responsibility. They will do their best to help you and your family. They want to make better future in this community and this country by teaching and guiding you and your children. Don’t expect them to work for you, work for yourself and work WITH them actively if you really want to get helped. They are called CHILDREN’S AID SOCIETY. The word “Aid” means helping, advocating and supporting. As a parent, I’d say we need to do better so that they don’t have to work so much. No matter what I am thankful and I choose trust, love and hope.

They made my children feel uncomfortable, then proceeded to ask questions to demean both their mom and their dad. Fast forward 5 months when I met with a Family Law Justice, and the Justice stated that my children, "should no longer be poked and prodded as this is causing them psychological harm."

School teachers; personnel whom the children trust, see on a daily basis and are comfortable with, are already trained to identify concerns with children with whom they have an existing report with. Defund CAS: Abolish this archaic society.

They presume people guilty without hearing both sides of the story. They are not in neutral grounds CAS workers psychologically, abused children by not getting the true facts of a story. They also don’t do proper investigations they only investigate the accusers house for the safety and well-being of children. They do not investigate the accused residence for same. They also call on a cell phone and only report a few things they say to you, and not the entire conversation. Seeing that they have a 2.5 star rating on Google, with many stories, and after personal experiences, I believe the one star reviews they don’t have the best interest of children and families being together at heart. In my case, I have a lot of evidence that Shows what was said, was skewed and untrue. Although it’s very apparent that CAS is perfectly OK with keeping children away from a paternal side of the family.

I honestly hope every single one of you people working for CAS loses the ability to see your children, watch them grow every day, being a loving parent. Jennifer Bauer condones psychological abuse on children. She refuses to to come and inspect a home for a child safety, and well-being. CAS. Also seems to think that all children smile around abusers and are comfortable with them fall asleep in their arms smile and laugh. It’s OK, because I am going to be opening up a lawsuit against CAS and Jennifer Bauer herself.

Cas killed my daughter. Unqualified cold hearted and plain ignorant. That organization should be scraped from the existence. Instead we keep funding them from our taxes.
