Don't waste your time! I came in immediately at 8am when they opened, only two other people waiting. I went in for an ingrown toenail which would have taken 10-20 mins max to fix (I know, because I had the procedure done a few months back in Nelson at the weekend walk-in clinic). They even had an extra doctor in training available, but they refused me service saying "it wasn't an emergency"... Sure feels like an emergency when you have to work a 12 hour night shift on your feet all night! I could have understood if their waiting room was packed, but it was completely empty as I walked out... Funny thing is they had no issues fitting me in for a 30 min pre-employment physical exam 6 months ago that cost $75 cash 🤔 Avoid if possible, go to the hospital in Trail or Nelson! Again, don't waste your time

Receptionist is never there - to the point that they even have a sign saying to just go ahead if there's no one to greet you. I literally only needed the receptionist to change my emergency contact, but I geuss she had better things to do than her job. Worst hospital I've ever been too, everything is so disorganized its deppresing

This is the worst walking clinic I have ever been in After being vaccinated I started having seizures It took me 4 and a 1/2 hours to get the help. I needed to find a neurologist and the lady argued with me the whole time cause I told her she was Slow And to stop hitting on the guy beside me and I have a friend who's been waiting for me outside. She said there's always a bus system. And I just told her I started having seizures so I definitely want to take the bus Cause if I start flopping like a fish on the side of the road? Do you honestly think anybody's going to help me Unbelievable but I kept my cool and you know what they say kill them with kindness lol.

Management hired some night club securities as nurses lol....
Shut this ... and learn how to treat people ...
Especially whose coming for treatment...

AMAZING Staff at the UPCC... especially on the 'light side' 😉 I feel truly blessed to have this in Castlegar. The treatment my partner has received from the staff here has been awesome! They truly go out of their way here. It is immediately obvious that they like their jobs... you can tell they like caring for people. Ann, Mary-Anne, Amy have been fantastic! (sorry for leaving other names out who have also been so helpful). Aw rats! I have forgotten the names of the staff at the front desk - - they have been great too! This review doesn't come from a 1 time fortunate experience. This review is based upon over 30 separate visits spanning across 2years.

Brought my little one in with fever and had the nurse basically make me feel like I was as wasting their time. She told me we should make this a "teachable moment", as if I was an idiot that doesn't know when it's appropriate to seek medical attention for my child. Turns out her fever was significantly high and that we were right to be there. You'd think with what's been going on in local hospitals lately when people have been wrongfully turned away that they'd actually take a person seriously.

Everyone in the building is rude and they dont care about anyone who walks in there. Unless dying(in that case call 911 and they'll take you to a real hospital). I'd say see your family doctor or even google your symptoms and get medicines.
They dont have any receptionist. Staff get mad on person who simply walks in.

If you have mental illness and you're on medication and need a refill, don't come here. Go to trail. I've never felt so uncomfortable and interrogated this much. He shamed me for not having a GP, cause it's so easy to get one right?... Acted like my antidepressants was opiates and refused to give me more than 2 months.
