I love Canada Helps. It's great that I can find all my tax receipts in one place. They also make it super easy to donate securities like stock. If you do this, you don't have to pay the capital gains on the stock and the whole amount goes to the charity, except for about 3% that Canada Helps charges the charity. Most of this is for processing fees. Canada Helps makes about 1.8% on most transactions.

This "charity" accepts nearly HALF A BILLION DOLLARS in donations every year, and keeps nearly $40,000,000 for themselves in "fees". Their financial records are on the government website, please do your research before sending them any money.

As a charity owner, I absolutely do not support this company. They accept donations on behalf of charities and take a portion for themselves. I have requested several times for them to stop accepting payments on our behalf, and they REFUSE. You share donor information and sell it to the highest bidder so other charities can spam them for donations. These predatory and deceptive practices make it difficult for charities to fund raise without sounding like spam. You should be ashamed.

This is a scam, I want my money back. I had $50 taken out of my account by this weird organization, I never authorize the transaction for this organization or any other. I don't even know how they got my account. Be careful where you are making purchase using your PayPal account. Anyone else has a PayPal transaction and ended up with a charge from Canada Helps?

I have donating to several charities each month for many yaers now through CanadaHelps and NEVER had a problem. I like that all my donations are on one site with one tax receipt for tax purposes (each charity is listed on your recipt). I have read through some of the negative reviews and felt I had to write my positive review to counter some of the criticism. I know CanadaHelps takes a small portion of the donations, but it is a business after all. I hope negative complainers don't persuade Canadians from donating to charities they believe in.

I made a donation to a charity through Canada Helps and did not receive a charity receipt. The credit card charge went through however the payment shows Canada Helps with no receipt. Sent 3 emails with no response. I then called this company and there is no one available to take a call or leave a message. Very frustrating and am Leary about using this company to make future donations.

Canada Helps posted our charity which was recently registered with CRA without contacting us or getting permission to accept donations to our charity. This feels fraudulent.
