I absolutely love what the Canadian friendship centre has to offer. Very appreciative of everything that they do for the community.
HOWEVER…..

The front desk person/Lady is very unprofessional. My daughter arrived at the CFC for a pick up and my young daughter was greeted with attitude and unfriendliness! Mind you my daughter is only 17 and to be treated like that was very disheartening. I had to call the office because the “receptionist” was not allowing my daughter to do a pick up for me due to her age. I tried resolving the issue, but was only given attitude. This person need to learn How to deal with the general public in a friendly/professional manner no matter the situation. If she can’t handle business in a cool calm collective manner then she is in the wrong business. I believe they just hire anyone for the front desk receptionist position.

Usually have a pretty good experience but the last time I called to inquire about whether or not my membership was active, the call taker was pretty rude and standoffish. I understand they get alot of calls and help alot of people but it's very disheartening when you're calling in and asking for help, to have someone greet you I'm that manner. I had more questions but I didn't even want to ask after my phone interaction. We already feel embarrassed to call or go in looking for help. There is no need to make us feel even worse about it. Suppose to be a community.

I had a pretty bad experience trying to work with them from a separate company. The director of this facility was pretty much immediately condescending and rude. At one point I was questioned about my race which made me incredibly uncomfortable and I felt was not the point. I'm really disappointed as I do feel the work this company does is important but to treat me as less because of the race I was assumed to be (this was over a phone call, my race was assumed based on...?) I received poor service.
