What a disaster of a program! I had workers tell me that I’m perfectly capable of finding housing on my own, when I was part of the program for a reason, i needed help. I was tossed around from managers to supervisors, to head office, to board of Directors of directors, after being forced out of the program. Nothing but bad experiences with the housing program.no support whatsoever. They left me in an abusive, unsafe housing situation and did nothing about it. I lost everything because of them. No one took my complaints serious when they were addressed to all the different people, will continue to keep going public with this until I get the apology I deserve and awareness is brought to how I was treated, left, and spoken to. Completely unacceptable. Unprofessional. And unfair.

I was deceived by the CMHA, so they can provide housing for one of their clients. They told me that the tenant was a student who did not smoke and loved a quiet living environment. However, this turned out to be a complete lie. The tenant had a mental illness and They were not student and regularly smoked crack and cigarettes inside the unit. Furthermore, they shared the unit with multiple homeless.

This experience has been extremely difficult for me, and I am disappointed with the behavior of the CMHA. As a 100-year-old organization, they should be held to a higher standard of ethics and accountability. Instead, they placed a problematic tenant in my unit under false pretenses. I believe this behavior is shameful and that the association should be held responsible for their actions.

Unless you're a docile mentally ill youth naive woman or incoherent mentally ill middle aged white man. They won't do much for you. Through CMHA York/South Simcoe.. I became a client of their housing program in 2021 while I was homeless.. they placed me into a basement apartment that had mice, they allowed my landlord to 5exually harass me with no consequences to the landlord infact they're about to let another gullible mentally ill sucker move into this place with this man. They know about the mice and the harassment and haven't done anything about it. OTHER CLIENTS BEWARE OF THE BASEMENT APARTMENT NEAR SOUTHLAKE HOSPITAL YOU MAY BE TEMPTED TO WANT TO LEAVE HOMELESSNESS BECAUSE THIS PLACE IS AVAILABLE BUT IF YOU CAN, TRY TO OPT FOR ANOTHER PLACE

This organization is an absolute joke!!
They make people WORSE not better.
Their support workers CANCEL more appointments than they actually go to.
