I am so grateful this lodge exists, as I was looking to rent a place in the area at around $2500-$3000 per month for 2-3 months. It is free to stay for anyone who lives some distance away, but you need to register to you get on a wait list, so as soon as you know you need regular treatments, call and get your name on the list. Meals and snacks are included and they change your towels daily and bed sheets weekly.
An incredibly clean and well run facility with awesome staff who are very friendly and helpful. FYI, there are also volunteer drivers available for cancer patients who live closer to the BC Cancer facility; also need to register for that. It also is a free service. Oh, and there are porters that can walk you down the road in a wheelchair, to whichever building or hospital your treatments are at.
Anyway, fantastic lodge and uber awesome staff at this lodge!

Having just returned from staying at this lodge while my husband had cancer treatment I cannot recommend it enough. It’s a homely, comfortable and friendly place which offers good accommodation with 3 meals daily, plus snacks, a gym, social areas, and all manner of help of various kinds (meditation, courses, seasonal pastimes etc) for both the cancer patient and caregiver. Excellent facility and great staff. Thank you, we appreciate it.

There's not enough I can say about this place! It is provided free for cancer patients and their care givers pay a reasonably fee ($54/nt at time of writing) and this includes all meals, basic housekeeping, laundry and some programming. The staff is so kind and accommodating. The only two suggestions I have are: 1) coordinate the meal offerings with the guidance given to the patients by the hospital. For example, the patients are told not to eat meat that has any pink, or eggs that are even slightly runny... so maybe don't serve runny eggs or medium cooked meats. Yes they taste better, but it is against the doctor's orders for all the patients. If you wish to cater to the caregivers' tastes, then offer it both ways (otherwise focus on health/safety over personal tastes); 2) find some way to accommodate families. I realize this is difficult and I don't have a solution to fit every situation, but this extremely difficult journey is even more difficult without your children 🙁

Been here since it reopened July 23, 2021 and this is the place to be if you or your family is going through Cancer. Very supportive and caring. The renovations are great a few glitches like the laundry room need better washer and dryers suitable for being used every day from multiple people and need tv's in guest rooms or would be a bonus. Great people here <3
