My husband and I found Joey Monette and his crew at Caliber West Construction to be helpful and patient and excellent at what they do. Joey helped us to fully understand the process on which were about to embark. All the different trades people that were involved in our kitchen and bathroom renovation were top notch in their skills and very courteous, prompt and helpful. We would not hesitate a moment to highly recommend Caliber West Construction. We are very pleased with the end results and the timely manner in which the work was completed. We will definitely use Caliber West Construction for our next project.

We would not recommend this company or ever use again
Project was to take 3 to 4 months - took 9 months ( no issues with supply chain ) but still had deficiencies that were not corrected until a year after project began - final invoice received 15 months after project started but had a $20K discrepancy. Contractor had been paid the $20K 5 months before. Accounting practices are suspect as we had all subcontractors ask us why we had not paid contractor when in fact we had. As a result a lien was placed on our house by a subcontractor while we were on vacation when in fact 90% of the money owed to contractor had been paid 5 months prior. We asked contractor to remove his 10% markup from invoice for letting his subcontractor account go into arrears. Rather than remove the 10% the contractor added another 5% markup to final invoice. Greedy!

Some subcontractors hired by contractor delivered subpar work quality.
Poor communicator, no supervision of work and received more excuses than results
Appliances not properly protected, had to do ourselves but some damage already done
Asked for copies of subcontractor actual invoices but never received
Corrected Final invoice received 20 months after project started.

His time and patience working with us to ensure that we would Love the end result. And above all, his honesty and integrity. We hired Caliber West to completely gut and renovate our main bathroom, and we later hired them back for more extensive renovations. Joey and his team, are friendly, professional, and highly skilled, and we are extremely pleased with the high level of workmanship and our awesome renovations.

We recently had Joey and his crew from Caliber West do bathrooms and kitchen renovations in our home. From the start it was clear that Joey believes in his mantra about the three possible options for work, from his website:
Choose Quality and Cost and expect that the project will take longer to complete.
Choose Quality and Time and expect that the project will cost more.
Choose Time and Money and the quality of the project will not be as good.
A high quality project may take longer. A project you want done quickly may cost more money. The quick and cheap option is never a good choice when it comes to wanting the home of your dreams. Our initial discussions included what our wants and expectations were for the work to be done and then he provided an estimate based on the work options we chose (Quality can Cost). We were very pleased with the quality of materials, tradespeople and suppliers. Flooring was covered and cleanup was done at least once daily...very professional. We worked with Joey to modify some ideas and the results were stunning and on budget. The completion time was only slightly longer than estimated due to availability issues with some materials.

Not sure of the quality of their work, but not impressed with their behaviour on the road. In stop and go traffic I left a buffer in front of me and the impatient drive pulling the company trailer swerved in front of me cutting me off missing my truck by 3 feet with his trailer. Then later down the road in passing the driver proceeds to flip me the bird! Pretty disgraceful behaviour in a vehicle plastered with your company name!
