These people made bad decisions on my behalf and caused me more problems. I lost everything because of them. When i moved out they wouldnt even help and i was forced to leave everything i owned behind except for what i could fit in my backpack. And they refused to drop off my clothing instead they kept everything and gave it all away. They all deserve to die!!

I am indebted to these guys for paying half my rent for three years but at what cost? They never helped me find a new place or get all my stuff out of the place I was just living at. They never helped me one bit to move anything. My counselour shows up and tells me he can move two boxes and they have to be
light as he had a sore back. What a joke! I have lost everything! Twice! Due to the ineptitude of what these guys promise! "You will never be on the street again, Dave, we promise." I have less now then when i first signed on. i am right back where I started 4 years ago. I am homeless as Neither J.H or the housing agency I was just with would help me find lodging or get all my belongings or some anyway, out of my apartment. They even stole my cat and took it to the SPCA. The John Howard Society, in my opion is run by buricrats whose only concern is the bottom line. Some where along the way they have forgotten the mission statement sent forth by Bob Perdue so many years ago. "Its not about beating the system. Its about restoring a man to his own self worth and belonging in the community. "

The Bedford House is a nice , clean facility.
They do need more qualified male staff that are dealing directly with inmates. The rules seem to change with whom ever is on duty and this can be very difficult and frustrating for day to day living for those that struggle with mental illness.

The John Howard society I would give it a five because I help people in the community ex,cons worked their way into the community but they also run a place beside it called. Bedford House I would not even give a review on that place I don't know like it I tried it but that's all I will say about it but I will give John Howard society at 5:00 because they do help people in the community find jobs resumes clothing but the place beside it that they run that's the thumbs down

terrible facility, most staff are under qualified and do nothing to help the residents. A criminal element exists within this facility and they control and manipulate the staff. The staff are vindictive, judgemental, and they get jealous if you have success and prove your worth greater then them. It should be un funded, other facilities provide better results and better service for those re entering society

It’s the worst place to be teenagers end up overdose or become drug dealers.Dirty place I won’t even donate a penny. They end kicking the kids out after they say the truth about their food getting stolen.Don’t ever support this program makes it makes theTeens more stress out than them helping.Probation officers they don’t know what they’re doing.
