On October 15, 2024, at the Westdale Theatre in Hamilton, the Bruce Trail Conservancy presented a very entertaining and inspiring evening of hiking-centred short films called the World Trails Film Festival. Gorgeous hiking trails from across the world (Scotland, Egypt, Bhutan, Australia, USA, etc.) were highlighted, plus inspiring stories of those who conquered them! Makes you want to get out and hike the Bruce Trail! Michael McDonald, CEO of the Conservancy, did a great job as Master of Ceremonies. As a bonus, money was raised for maintaining the Bruce Trail!

This is by far one of the most worthwhile and mind blowing ways to truly explore our Niagara Biosphere-absolutely stunning preserved wilderness at every point on the trail-an incredible organization and honest charity. Please get a membership and become involved-hikes are regularly scheduled for both members and non members, all over Ontario-with varying levels of difficulty and paces-something for everyone!

Stopped in to see the store. Have been a member for years and did mail order but was nice to see the store. Lots of Bruce trail products. Staff were friendly. Able to look up membership card for discount so don't need to bring. Love the boot brush out front. Makes sense since so close to the trail.

BTC is a group of amazing people doing extraordinary things. The fact that we have about 1200 km of beautiful nature trails (including side trails) in our back yard is very special indeed! We should consider ourselves lucky.

Ordered some items for pick up and they were available within a day. One tip, parking lot was very full, so be prepared to search for a space.

The most worthwhile organization... working to “preserve a ribbon of wilderness” from Queenston to Tobermory. The staff are knowledgeable, personable, professional and passionate about their cause. If you hike the trail (or not) buy a membership/make a donation to support their efforts. Hiking, particularly in these unusual times, is a great stress reliever. Getting out in nature will improve your state of mind enormously.

The Bruce Trail Conservancy does amazing work to protect the Niagara Escarpment. Please support this amazing organization. The Bruce Trail, is Canada's oldest and longest footpath and provides the only continuous public access to the magnificent Niagara Escarpment, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.
