Unreliable bank! They try to lure new customers by giving presentations to anti Gov. groups pretending they are different than mainstream banks but in fact they have to follow the very same Gov regulations just like any other bank! also running a POORLY DESIGNED Online banking platform including the android app!
You get treated like a criminal once you make a mistake with a deposit! Cleaned out every penny out of the BVCU account and NEVER going back!

Joining Bowvalley credit union has been the worst experience ever. I receive a check every month and every month they have let me have access to it immediately. Same check comes through and they put a hold on it. Not only did they put a hold on it they bounced all the payments coming through my account and charge me $45 per item when I had money in the bank! Terrible! What bank does that they don’t care about their clients at all! They are definitely not there to help you it’s been the worst experience I’ve ever had. They don’t even have Visa debit so I’ve had to add PayPal to my account which has been another nightmare! Don’t ever bank here!

Have been a member for a few months now. My experience has been positive to this point. Only complaint would be that they’re not open Saturdays.

Used to be the best (about a 18 months) but now total garabage.
I have been locked out of my Business account for over 2 weeks and they don't care. Funny because I originally switched from a big bank to get more care and customer service. So so disappointing. Consider carefully before ever switching to them.

This bank was chosen by my broker for my farm. And wow. Very hard to get ahold of unless you drive in. Please start paying these workers here more or having retention plans. The turnover is unreal. Every 6 months i call its someone new 👎🏼.

We don’t normally find the need to post negative reviews, but we didn’t heed the warning of another close friend in town that this company messed up his account without any help either.

If you really don’t care about your money or whom is caring for it then by all means bank here, but the moment you need them they won’t ever answer their phone, nor call you back…for 6-8 months I might add.

These credit unions preach about how much better they’re to bank with, but in fact if they mess with your monies and screw up then CDIC has an even harder time securing your funds. Don’t let our family’s loss be in vain and do your research into these lower echelons in the banking industry and instead stick with the top 5 banks in this industry, as our cash will hopefully get returned soon (going on 6 months now) to us within a year or 2 span after CDIC finally rights this massive injustice that is just so wrong.

They’re not “BBB” Accredited! Wish we knew that before even thinking of banking here, shame on us as they fooled us twice!

You’ve been forewarned!!!! Avoid them like the plague people!

My man and I are self employed which can make it difficult to get a decent mortgage. The main banks are suppressed by all their rules and regulations and therefore cannot understand how small businesses work. Deanna and Sharon, in Cochrane, are extremely understanding and efficient! We just renewed our mortgage with them and are so grateful for their team and this credit union branch!!!

This business is vastly superior to what you get from the major bank competition in town. I've deal with both them and RBC and the difference in service is day and night. unlike RBC, they actually answer their phones and stay consistently open, and they remember your name when you show up. Vastly better wait times than RBC too both in person and phone.
