All the five star reviews are 100% legit with this place. The wife was able to get an amazing salmon diner and I was able to get a pizza and my daughter got chicken strips, life does not get better than this. All the servers are amazing and the cooks know what they are doing. If you are in town and hungry, this is the only place you should go to. Highly recommend 👌

Little family run restaurant that doesn’t look like much from the outside but the food was amazing! We got take out pizza and wanted to support small business and we were not disappointed! Pepperoni, dill pickle and cheese pizza, It was amazing and we will be back.

The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably affordable. Our first server seemed inconvenienced by us when taking our drink order and didn't bring us the drinks as we'd ordered them. But the server who took our food order was much more genial. The food was slow to come out but really good! We would eat here again if we were not in a hurry.

Sundre is not a common place we travel to, but we needed to make a dinner pit stop. Hubby googled it and said we should try it. Google reviews did not disappoint us.

This review is based on 2 visits within 48 hours. Our first visit was so good that we had to return AND also because as business owners ourselves, we love to support other small businesses.

Both our visits were with 2 different couples from Sri Lanka, who also applaud this establishment and vouch for the authentic excellence of the traditional Sri Lankan dishes the Red Seal Chef - Ravi, delivered to us.

Portion sizes are ample and satisfying, prices are very reasonable (love this about small towns), and our taste buds were singing.

There is a great and varied array of menu selections - from good old comfort food to fusion and spicy items - all the while, the Chef is careful and mindful of each customer's requests.

Ravi and his sweet wife (whom we met on our first visit) were warm, welcoming, and generous with their service to us.

This is definitely a wonderful gem hidden in the boondocks ;). Make a little road trip and be pleasantly delighted.

P.s. to speak to any negative reviews - restaurant business is VERY challenging. It is impossible to please 100% of the people 100% of the time. However, Boondox takes pride in its food and is worth the visit! ❤️

It can be really difficult to find vegan options at restaurants in smaller towns, so I was so excited to see that Boondox had dairy free cheese options for pizza and pastas, as well as multiple salad and bowl options that are vegan friendly as well. I ordered a veggie pizza with dairy free cheese this time and my husband got the meat lovers pizza. My pizza was delicious and he said his was as well. The staff were incredibly friendly, the place is beautifully decorated and well maintained, and it was an all around great experience. So grateful to have such a good option in Sundre! We will be back!

I ordered the special the night Canada won the 4 Nations cup against the USA. It was a little dry but I suspect other things on the menu are very good. I'll give them another try.

It was minus 40C with a wind chill. We want it some soup and looking for some pad thai. So we ordered two curried soup with shrimp, onions and noodles + the green curry came and it was wonderfully delicious. As prime rib was on special, we ordered one of them and shared it because the soup would have been a meal unto itself. Really good food and a really nice family restaurant.

PASTA FOOD POISONING FROM MICROWAVE PASTA. We only went there because of the menu online only to learn they didn’t have half the stuff as well the drinks were more expensive than the menu presented. Chicken was dry as hell, they served me rotten celery in my ceasar. The drinks were horrid the presentation of the food was good but deceiving. Something tasted rotten. The waistress didn’t even ask if I wanted change and took the money I didn’t even see the receipt till after. Also the menu has multiple mistakes
