Be careful if your vehicle is low to the ground. Pulling in has a huge drop to it. Better pulling off on one of the service roads and coming from the back and going out that way.

There's nothing like driving down the road and coming across a giant beaver. I had to do a u turn to see it.

The town of Beaverlodge wanted something to attract a little attention. I've seen a lot of bear statues, taxidermy, etc. but this is the first of a beaver.

The funny part about it is the location of the dentist's office directly behind the beaver. I think those incisors can use some attention.

I love the tough, no-nonsense look of this giant beaver sculpture. While Canada's national animal is often portrayed as mild and polite, there was something refreshing (and amusing) of seeing one of our main national symbols portrayed in a serious light.

It was a good visit, probably the 10th time we have been here with friends. Sadly, this poor defenseless beaver was adorned with a heinous scarf im the colour scheme of the Edmonton oilers. It was sad to see such a majestic symbol of Canada being disrespected this way.
If only he were decked out in White and Blue.
