I had a really great experience at beausejour hospital. The staff were so kind and I felt that they genuinely cared and wanted to help. They took me in right away and I was instantly put in a room with a bed. They were very accommodating and made sure I had what I needed.
I had quite the opposite experience at Selkirk hospital the night before. I could barely sit up and they had me in a waiting room for a couple hours. I eventually had to leave cause I was so unwell. It’s not their fault tho, it’s our healthcare system ?

I moved to Beausejour two years ago & actually was quite happy with the house I got because it’s very close to the hospitalz

Over two years that I’ve lived here, I’ve needed stitches twice, and recently broke my hand… every time that I’ve needed to see an emergency doctor in Beausejour. There is never one on staff.

And this last time I just asked for a nurses assistance to help re-tighten my tensor bandage/cast as it was coming loose… and they would not help me unless I waited in the emergency line all over again (for something that literally takes probably two minutes)…

Instead, I have been referred to go to the local gas station or local restaurant to seek help from the gas attendant/server to help me tighten my tensor bandage. (As I live on my own and do not have someone to help me at my house)

I already did “my time” in the waiting room when I initially broke my hand on Wednesday… all I needed is another set of hands or even 1 more hand (for about 120 seconds) to help me retighten the tensor and they wouldn’t do it without making redo “my time” in the emergency line again … I understand if you need to see a doctor and get something diagnosed, or an x-ray etc. But I’m just asking for another hand to hold my tensor wrap while I retighten and secure it properly (for all of two minutes) … great health care service!

Save your time and your gas and just go to Selkirk because it’s just a giant waste of time to go to Beausejour Hospital.

The place i was born! Nice clean atmosphere. Great staff. If i ever need a hospital when visiting my old stomping grounds.. i know ill be in good hands.

The doctors are great staff is friendly and they got the ways to save ones life if emergency because they saved mine thanks
but one nurse is to bossy I wouldn't even handle my dog that way magen you better change thanks but they are all trying thair best with the funds they get

Turn away at the door. Had to drive to Winnipeg. If you’re not excepting tax paying Canadians maybe you should shut down. We can use the funds elsewhere.

Mostly a care home now. We used to get great service when the kids were sick. Now you had better be dying if you go here or they send you away.

Got stopped at the emergency entrance and turned away because it's not an emergency room. Which is probably for the better since I was looking for a treatment not a treatment.
