I am going through a second round of cancer and treatment with BC Cancer. I am so grateful to them and the Foundation...they have saved my life! Everyone that I have dealt with has been very respectful and caring. I urge everyone who reads these reviews to make a donation---it doesn't have to be huge (but why not!), because EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS!!! Most of us will be touched by the cancer journey, either for us as individuals or our family or friends. The money that is collected is to help us get appropriate, up to date treatments, that are offered with respect, expertise and kindness! Thanks from the bottom of my heart!!!!

Yesterday, a woman came to my neighbourhood (delta- sunshine hills) asking for donations to open up clinics in the lower mainland. However, her manner was disrespectful and rude towards me when she started to ask for $25 donations and card information. Her behaviour was not pleasant and she is not understanding when i said I’m not interested at this moment. When I said I had financial issues and wasn’t able to donate, she said “why don’t you want to contribute to society, you don’t want to?”… “you know it’s just $25 donation and cancer rates are increasing”. Her lack of professionalism and respect made me deter myself from donating. She made me feel bad to not donate. Not only does she made me feel bad, her attitude makes me feel less as a person. If I had the money, then I would donate. She came off pushy and asking $25 donation right away not even asking for any less. Next time, BC Cancer hire someone that can do the job right. This woman was awful and asking personal questions as well as wanting my card information. This makes it seem that you guys just want to do it for profit rather than helping people with cancer. I hope she doesn’t ever knock at my door again.

These crooks won’t cancel my monthly donation. Three months now I’ve been trying to cancel. Emails and managed to finally talk to someone on the phone who obviously didn’t follow through with cancelling my donation. Only option is to change your card. Absolute CROOKS! Don’t give these guys a cent of your money!

When they came to my door asking for a donation, I was happy to make it. Then I found out it was a monthly amount to be deducted from my credit card. I was still okay with that because I believe in the cause. My financial circumstances became tighter and I called to cancel. That was 6-months ago and it's still being deducted. I'll never donate that way, again.

I have repeatedly been trying to contact the office of the Cancer foundation and no one ever picked up the phone. Their voice mail works great though. Does anybody actually work in that office?

This entity itself is a cancer, they just request you make donation again and again, despite the fact that their employees has far more high income than you.
