Without a doubt the worst financial institution in Canada. Sent a complaint to head office and they simply forwarded my complaint to the branch manager to have a laugh, clearly not realizing they had cc'd me on the email. Tellers are impatient, ignorant, and literally can not communicate with clientele. Due to the inability to understand what the tellers are saying to you and their poor comprehension skills you're sure to deposit money into someone else account or to owe thousands for unpaid bills because truth be told nobody in there really knows what's happening an you've been paying someone else bills for months. E-Transfer only works intermittently and when you go to the branch to fix the issue they tell you to call a 1 800 number and when you call that 1 800 number they'll tell you to go to the branch. An embarrassment to the fine people who once established and operated Bayshore Credit Union. Go to a real bank. This is simply a bunch of crooked lunatics using your money to make millions while the communities they prey on suffer.

Waited over 25 minutes for a simple deposit. Three staff members were in their offices, clearly unwilling to help the two tellers. This is why people hate going to the bank.

Poor customer service. We closed our accounts. The tellers did not care if we did. They tried 0% to save a customer or resolve the issue. The manager stated we should contact head office. Monies removed and account closed. If there was a 0 rating you would get it. Alterna Savings. 0 rating 0 customer service. 0 tellers personality.

Never once have they answered the phone when I call (the Trenton branch). Customer service went right downhill when they got bought out by Alterna. I’ll be moving my business and personal account ASAP

If I had to do it again, I don't think I would choose this branch. On my initial appointment to set up investment accounts I noticed staff being rude to some generational clients. There was no patience when dealing with customers. During my appointment the advisor seemed inexperienced, and ended up having to call someone for guidance. Upon this last visit, my opinion does not change. The advisor stated she could not do my deposit and pushed it off to someone else, who just happened to busy. She wore her thoughts and emotions on her face and they were quite clear she thought I was wasting her time. If you don't want to work in the service industry don't. Or learn your job before offering advice and guidance to people. Overall don't treat people like trash when they are trying their best.

Lost my debit card, tried calling them to lock my card/order a new one and someone intentionally answered the phone then hung it up. Really shows how much they care in my opinion.

I have worked with Patty Gilligan a couple of times now and she is an excellent representative for Alterna Savings. She is very knowledgeable and professional, and also caring and understanding.
I look forward to working with Alterna Savings in the future.

went in to make a deposit and to convert USD to Canadian at a teller, arrived at 4:25pm, bank closes at 5pm. I open the door. its locked a women inside sees me, proceeds to ignore me. I then approach the ATM to just do my deposit i guess. A white women walks in, she attempts to open the door, its locked. the women comes from around the counter and proceeds to let her in. While I'm still inside, then locks the door for her when she gets in. I've Never experienced racism before but i defiantly felt profiled as soon as I stepped inside this building. disgusting.
