This is an amazing community of people.
The cooperative community of members is warm and welcoming.
This is my retirement home, where I feel safe and secure.
I am so blessed I found this haven of quiet in the downtown area.

Terribly toxic environment. Just don’t. What you save in housing charges you will pay for in moving charges. I spent over 20 years dreaming of moving here. It was to be our retirement place. We lasted less than 20 months. The residents are wonderful. They made us feel very welcome, many are very upset we are leaving. If things change, we will come back. But for now. Don’t do it CHANGES must happen.

Not running as a cooperative. It’s a business. Members have little to zero say in decisions and the property manager Jessica is emotionally abusive towards members and is very unprofessional.

Do not move here. This is no longer being run as a cooperative. There have been no committee or general membership meetings in well over a year. I finally moved. Very toxic environment.

Hi my name is Jackie and I leave at Laurel Gardens for 2 years it is the most loving fun clean friendly place u could ever wish to live I would not hesitate to go back to leave there if I ever move back to Edmonton . but most of all the secretary Rose is wonderful.

This community is a co-op which means you have to become a volunteer at 3 to 4 hours per month. It is not meant for all people. It really depends upon the person.

ARTSPACE CO-OPERATIVE. A small yet resilient community in the Heart of Edmonton. A place where practically EVERYONE knows your name; and, if you've just moved in, brace yourself. You'll soon learn all sorts of stuff about everyone that you probably didn't need or want to know.
