I had surgery in the Arnprior Hospital and my words can't express how well I felt taken care of. The entire process, from registration to being wheeled out of the hospital to go home, was seamless and I felt seen and cared for. An amazing group of health care professionals.

Me and my husband went to the ER here in the middle of the night because he was in too much pain to wait 10+ hours in Ottawa. The registration lady was very rude. She said they don't like helping people who don't reside in Arnprior. That's ridiculous, and illegal. If he has a medical reason to be there and an Ontario health card, they have to take him in. She said they will take him "this time" but to not come back. Wow. I'm sorry but that's crazy. I don't know her name but she needs to be informed on legal rights... and human decency.

Staff on the phone were very unhelpful. I saw another review mentioning the receptionist needs to work on her people skills - they are correct.

She refused to tell the wait time. Other hospitals happily shared the information with me since I am travelling from far.

Hospital says if you get worse after medication come back and we'll let you in without wait to look at your worsening issues. Had to wait same 6 hours I did 12 hours ago. They should tell that if your condition gets worse after medication you have to go through the same wait cycle with the minimum of 6 hours. We are not responsible if your condition gets worse.

I was there on last Thursday for lower back pain, the first doctor was helpful and attentive and they told me to come next day for x-rays, so I did. However, when I went there, I waited for 6 hours and the doctor asked me to come in, I was trying to tell what was going on with me but he didn’t let me talk. He was so rude and disrespectful. It was a horrible experience, I would never recommend going to him. Awful service.

Nigel walked me through a cat scan. He was extremely professional, Explained the process well and as he was doing it, explained as we went along. The whole process was very smooth!

I did not take seriously information that the parking fee is $4, and that "loonies and twonies are accepted". In 2025 I assumed that there should be a credit card reader as well. So I ended up in a single lane exit with 6 cars behind me who I had to ask to back, because I do not carry cash, not a pile of loonies and twonies anyway. That was very embarrassing. Fortunately, there was a hospital employee who saved me by swiping his proximity card for me. Five stars for how I was treated in the hospital.
