This place was my last stop when things didn’t go well in life. At the beginning it was very helpful but wow as soon as Kelly began to be passive and aggressive with me they all started to hate me the “staff.” You would think that drug addicts are the only thieves ? Nope! The staff are thieves too! Things like phones go missing and you’d think your belongings are safe but they take them! Yes the employees do that! I won’t go into too much details but they’re scammers, I saw and learned a lot of unlawful behaviour when it comes to staff. Do not go to this place. Thank you

This place is unethical in so many ways. Rules constantly change, and the Ark acts as judge, jury and executioner, if someone challenges its decisions. People are kicked out for pointing out the Ark's frailties, while crackheads are coddled.

This place is unsafe to help the actual homeless. I would like it if you stopped helping the drug addicted thieves so they stop terrorizing our city.

Open daily for meals and a warm place to sleep. There are hot showers, hot meals, clothes, laundry and other access to services if you ask. There are crash beds at night. The volunteers and staff are caring and love to help.

Friend of mine suggested going here and having a meal, so I did.....I got there and went in (it was lunch time), and was greeted at the door by a very pleasant woman whim asked me my name then I was given a red ticket and told to follow the arrows which led me in to a big hall in the basement. Once I was seated(there was plenty of room I might add) I held my ticket up to show I was just coming in and with in seconds a young lady brought me my tray. It was a bowl of chicken vegetable soup,a ham and egg on an English muffin,a large ginger cookie and a banana! To drink they offered coffee or water, all of this was brought right to you at the table, the only time you have to get up is when your leaving or to use the washroom.
Now the food was just fantastic,the soup was thick and stuck to the ribs which on a cold wet day was perfect, the ham and egg muffin seemed fresh and I gotta say the staff that I had a chance to speak with were just laid back down to earth friendly people.
The Arc is there fir anyone and everyone, you don't just have to be homeless to use the services they supply to the public...they tend to help with clothing, job searches, finding affordable houseing or even just a shoulder if your feeling down.
Anyway no matter what walk of life you come from, or race or sexual gender it dosent matter there as once you walk through there doors everyone's an equal!!!

I was not aware that this organization was a safe injection site.
The reason I wonder this, is this:
While waiting outside for a member of the staff, I witnessed something that I might have misunderstood or misinterpreted.
There was a small group of homeless people outside, (nothing wrong with that scenario), but this is what I saw and overhead.
A young couple were actively preparing their needle to inject themselves with what I presumed was opiates. A woman, whom I assumed had some training in health care, actively encouraging the couple to increase their normal intake of the drug! And also said, and this is a quote, " don't worry, I have Narcone, I'll be right here if you go into an overdose. Go ahead and increase what you normally do".
This is outside,not inside where I thought safe injection sites were.
Like I said, I might have misunderstood what it was that I saw. I left but not before I saw something else. If that young couple were to overdose, that health professional(! ) was locked out, she had no keys and nobody was responding to her repeated knocks on the door.
