I joined the accounting team with high hopes, but the experience was discouraging. Much of the work-related communication took place in a non-English language (Tagalog), which made it difficult for me to fully understand or engage in day-to-day tasks. Despite raising these concerns respectfully, they were dismissed and later mischaracterized as an "attitude issue."

As the only East Asian employee, I felt excluded and unsupported. Key conversations often happened in a language I couldn't understand, even during training. I was let go during the probation period without clear feedback or any opportunity to improve.

If you are someone who values an inclusive, respectful, and communicative work environment, I would advise asking detailed questions about the team culture—especially in the accounting department—before joining.

Worst company I have ever worked for. Family relations and friendships outweighed work performance. If you’re related or are friends with a member of the senior leadership team you can do no wrong. They pass the buck and have no accountability. This company lacks integrity and relies on bullying tactics from
It’s management team starting with senior leadership. They claim they are this fantastic place to work yet their kincentric survey is at an all time low for the company. Instead of addressing the issues they continue the same behaviour going on without any accountability from its management team. This company has no integrity!

This place has welcomed me very well, it has allowed me to learn and grow quickly, at Arctic Co-op I have felt listened to, valued and supported at all levels. The work environment is great, every month we have several fun activities. I also really like the purpose of helping and getting to know the communities of the North. Without a doubt, this is "My Happy Place"

Waste of time. Be cautious.

Horrible experience and waste of time. Was interviewed by one of the northern managers based out of the Winnipeg office via indeed face to face for an operations role but was told I would fit the GM role and I would be contacted. This was over a month ago. Sad. Unprofessional and after reading the reviews I can see why they have high turnover rates. Glad I missed the bullet working for this company.

Want to share my experiences with this company.
Its a terrible place to work. They treated you like a garbage. When they need you, they talk to you, but when they don't need you. They throw you like a garbage. NO COMMUNICATION or even THANKFUL for your help.
When they were in shortage of staff, they asked me for help, I continued helping them more than 1 year I left a full-time position, I worked for this company total 5 years, but when they filled up the positions, they turned 360 faces to me and asked to return the computer and say like this "We have removed your access and I apologize we didn’t alert you sooner". That's it, end the story for how many years you contributed and worked hard for them. Even the department manager didn't talk to me at all. When things happened, they just kicked the ball. and bla bla.
DONT WORK for the company treats you TERRIBLELY like this company, and UNPROFESSIONAL in anyway.

Worked there over 5 years, got stabbed in the back... even though you have no authority end up responsible for other people's lack of responsibility. Management puts on the best show but doesn't help when the going gets tough... instead they blame it all on the low guy who can't defend himself & if you are not related or big buddies look out your the fall guy... union not worth the paper it is written on.. just keep paying the dues but don't expect them to stick up for you... their buddies too...
