Of course it’s amazing and lovely that we have a food bank here in Abbotsford. And we all should be super thankful. However, the service here is sometimes awful. Some of the volunteers don’t care about following the line in order of arrival and your number. At no fault of their own, sometimes the food you receive is expired or is about to expire within 2-3 days. The area where you stand and wait and collect your food is small and cramped, parking is very limited and it’s on a hill so it’s hard to drive in and out of. But otherwise, I love this place and all the people who volunteer here in their free time.

Thank you to the Food Bank and its workers for helping low-income people, including me, especially during these difficult times for society with the rise in food prices. However, there is a problem we face with some people when they come early and take more than one number, even though they are just one person, to give it to people they know or friends of theirs or the like. I hope to find a fair way for everyone so that the person takes a number for himself, even if he holds more than one permit for more than one family of his own. We thank the volunteers and friendly workers for their kind treatment, and I have noticed that from them.

Nicest people, so helpful and made sure I knew where to go and what to do as a first timer, set me up to get food right after signing up. And so much to give! Makes me want to volunteer there one day lol 👍👍

Food bank is something which should be always seen with gratefully folded hands.
What I want to suggest and why 3 stars are
1. Office made intake and its on record client is diabetic on insulin.
2. Volunteers giving rice, potatoes, sweets, white bread shows something is missing in communication of office and distributing staff.

First of all my apologies coz I don't want to be ungrateful. But I had to face tough times and end up in a food bank to survive. There are 5 people in my family. The 2 times I went to the food bank, I was given almost same items which was stereotyped to our race. Salty crackers, lentils and bags of Brussel sprouts while others got 2 gallons of milk, chocolate milk, eggs, baked cookies and black forest cakes. They get to choose while we take what we are given and asked to leave what we don't want in the cart. My request is to be fair and treat everyone equally without bias.

lady walked in and grabbed whatever she wanted and it pissed me off because alot of us would love to choose what we get. she grabbed 3 loafs of the good stuff and i was stuck with stale bread. i wish there were more measures to ensure no nitpicky takers that waltz in there to grab whatever they want.

To much pasta ,bread,buns. Don't like cans of lentils or strange beans,don't like Indian food and spices.. to much white food such as bread rice etc. Need things like pet food, detergent,bleach and cleaning supplies.
Not fond of meat or fish turning bad. Not enough good fruit
