God awful emergency room experience. Took my 3 months old in and I've never in my life seen anything like it. 4 hours in the waiting area, another few hours in the back and that's without even seeing a doctor. The nurse came and said "oh he's probably fine but I'm not a doctor so if you wanna wait I'll get the doctor to see you quickly" okay, yeah "quickly" meant 4 hours later we're still sitting there and eventually told another nurse we're just gonna leave and take care of him at home. And this is the part that royally pissed me off, as we are leaving they are calling code blue over the intercom, there's so many patients backed up that they are wheeling people into the hallways telling them wait times are at least 4-5 hours. And what do we see? A doctor and some nurses drinking coffee, laughing, cutting up. So the nurse tells us you're already short staffed and backed up to the point of dramatic wait times and your staff that you DO have is having a coffee break and some water cooler banter!! Get real. Absolutely absurd. Something needs to be done there's a reason this hospital is 2 stars. Straighten up and fly right for God's sake.

The waits oh the waits in ER are awful. My wife recently visited with pneumonia and had an 18 hour wait. On the flip the treatment from the dr and nurses once inside are good.
Outpatient care once you get past the waiting list is fast efficient and friendly
Maternity is top notch I’ve never left without a beautiful baby so can’t complain there

We all pay taxes for the same services but not all of us are treated equally. I arrived to my appointment with my husband at the maternity section for IV we were waiting in the waiting area. For about 10 minutes then a “white” couple arrived to do the same thing the nurse asked them if they were in a hurry to take them first, even though the Iv takes 4 hours to be done. They said no so she went ahead and took me in first then she said my that my husband can’t be with me in the room because there is no space for him even though there was a chair next to my bed for that purpose. when I said why can’t he sit at this chair she moved me to another bed. Then she went to help the other couple and asked the husband to sit on the exact chair I wanted my husband to sit on. The other nurse wasn’t any nicer they both were racist.

Every bad review about this hospital is bang on. The doctors are good there but I've never seen a more disorganized place before. The nurses are generally uncaring. A few understand the meaning of what a nurse is but majority are just there for the union wages and gossiping about how much better they are than patients, patients family. You can pretty much tell the bad staff by the expressions on their faces even before you talk to them. You don't dare to talk back to a union member.....right?

The nurses at General Surgical Daycare are absolutely tops. Our health care system has its challenges but every one of these ladies were compassionate, kind and go the extra mile to make you comfortable.

This place can get busy. As do all of our emergency centers. But they don't prioritize properly. After sitting in emergency for over 8 hours for a head injury and still not able to see a doctor. When people in droves come and go for less severe cases. They tell you to wait another hour only to repeat themselves again a few hours later. And their organization in the waiting rooms is chaos. Mixing injured patients with sick patients. A lack of comfortable seating and many leaving before being seen. This is not a good place to come for urgent care.

Much appreciation to the ladies in the ER. My partner came in with very serious bone breaks and the nurses made her feel comfortable as possible for her duration there. Thank you.

I brought my father in to the oncology department and was so glad i was there for support. He is hard if hearing and unsteady on his feet. He was flustered as he had forgotten his wallet, something he has never done before. They had is information on file and so we were able to proceed but his mistake seemed to give the nurse checking him permission to unleash her anger and frustration on him. She scolded and belittled him. It was incredible. Everyone else was patient and very kind. What was a concern was that this nurse felt so comfortable lashing out in front of everyone. I wrote down the nurses name but this isn’t so much about that particular nurse but feedback for hospital management to take patient care more seriously and train staff in bedside manner. That was shocking.
