Stayed for just one night here in room B to see a play at the Festival Theater. Hadn't remembered what a lovely town Stratford is but this delightful inn is within walking distance to anything that you would like to see or do. Nice walks.Tim and Johanne are wonderful, helpful and friendly hosts and i look forward to visiting again.Stayed with my family and especially liked the screened porch common area across the second floor of the house. A lovely place to sit and read and have a drink. The breakfast was excellent. Awe will be back.

Two friends and I booked two rooms at Dufton house for a week in Stratford to attend the Festival. My friends were in the Coach house and I was upstairs in room "A". It was very comfortable and quiet. Yet close to the theatres and restaurants. Breakfast was over at the Stone Maiden Inn and it was outstanding. Coffee was provided in the rooms as there was a kitchenette such that we could easily have lunch there after our adventures.||Tim and Johann go out of their way to make you as comfortable as possible,

Enjoyed my stay at this B&B. It is within walking distance to the theatres and downtown Stratford. The place was built in 1882. Rooms are nice. You will really enjoy breakfast at the Stone Maiden Inn, a short drive away. Tim and Johanne are very good hosts. You will not be disappointed.

My partner and I had an amazing stay at Dufton House. The hosts Tim and Johanne were very friendly and helpful, and the room itself was gorgeous. We loved the preserved history from its time as the home of Dufton, and the room decor. Breakfast was a short, pleasantly relaxing walk to the Stone Maiden Inn and was absolutely delicious! Our new place to stay when visiting Stratford!

Tim and Johanne went above and beyond their duty by giving us an upgrade when the sister property we were booked at had made a clerical error and the whole place was completely booked. I am unable to get the Covid vaccination, so I am unable to eat inside restaurants and the weather was too lousy to eat outside so the coach house was perfect to pick up some takeout (Bijou Restaurant) and enjoy dinner sitting at a kitchen table with a small kitchenette to have breakfast in. We really like the neighbourhood as it’s so close to downtown (walkable) yet extremely quiet. The room was humungous and we were able to relax and get do some work at the kitchen table so it all worked out well. It was much better than just a hotel room. We really enjoyed our stay there and will most definitely book this room again if we go back to Stratford.

I made arrangements for my mom and her friend to visit Stratford and attend some plays. The original booking was through Expedia and they made a mess of it, but Tim is an honourable man and he ensured that all was made right. His efforts made us feel like valued guests. The ladies loved their charming rooms at Dufton House. They found breakfast to be exceptional and the location very convenient. Wonderful experience all around! Gratitude is sent to Tim and everyone at Dufton/Stone Mason.

We have been staying at Dufton House for several years now, and with Tim and Johanne running the show, we have only positive things to say. While the property was built in the late 1800's Tim and Johanne have updated our room to modern standards. We stayed in Suite C and our friends stayed in the Coach House. Both were airy and well equipped. But the best part is the care that Tim and Johanne put into our stay. We had several specific needs, like a bed board for the mattress and some dietary restrictions, and they were met quickly and in a caring way. ||||The breakfasts are served at Stone Maiden Inn, a fully equipped B&B owned by Tim and Johanne. Every morning we walked over to the Inn for a sumptuous gourmet breakfast, which was wonderful.||||We really look forward to returning to Dufton House and Stone Maiden Inn. Thanks for making us feel at home during our 3 day stay at the Stratford Festival.

Your own apartment in an 1882 heritage home on a vast lot in a great residential neighbourhood - the theatres, downtown and the river are all a very pleasant 5-10 minute walk. Tim and Johanne quickly become your friends and they are dedicated innkeepers, constantly thinking about ways to make you and the property more comfortable. You'll Find your visit very relaxing, and you benefit from the excellent creative breakfasts at Tim and Johanne's nearby Stone Maiden Inn.
