Friendly workers, hard working volunteers helping Durham Region's people in need. Clothing and household room that participants can get items they need. Donating your used household and clothing items here will ensure they go to the people who need it most. Give thanks when thanks is due.

They gave me a bunch of baskets, let me pick what I wanted from them. It’s not much at all and when I asked for some other things they rolled there eyes at me. No bread, no cheese and even tea or peanut... I was not impressed.
I was new to the place and was unsure what to do. They didn’t make me feel like the food was going to last more then a day or two.

The fact I had to depend on a place like this to help me was hard enough. I donated for years and now relying on them it wasn't easy to go and ask for help. I know its only enough food for 2-3days however I didn't get anything to put a meal together. Pasta with NO SAUCE.. Oatmeal (small zip lock bag)1box of Kraft Dinner, 2 cans of potatoes and 2 onions & 2 carrots. And that was it! I cried when I got home and seen what the 2 lady's gave me. I wanted to call and ask what the heck this is about. My daughter went and was in front of me and she got hamburger meat, chicken cereal and sauce and pasta tuna veggies and a lot more. Sad they treat ppl like this.
